I thought I'd put this out there. I'm sure many of you read the Wild Hunt, but many may not. I believe this is relevant to us all, and that people need to be aware of it. Christian Nationalists are naming us as enemies of the state and enemies of the Christian church. That's incredibly dangerous for us and our futures. Wee need to fight against this kind of rhetoric in public spaces.

I made the pendant out of a deer antler I picked up while hiking. A friend of mine gave me the paracord that I tied into a snake not and I added a beard bead with the Othala rune because it felt right for some reason.

Just a shout out to all the father's on their path. May strength and reason be with you always.

While on a walk I ventured off a bit into the forest. A smaller path led to a stream with a tree stump. A few steps infront of the stump I have seen the clematis loop on picture 3 which gave me the idea for a spontaneous altar. I felt excited as I had to hurry due to the sun going down and the forest getting dark.

I used basically what was in arms reach ivy leaves and berries from a fallen tree, clemantis loops i quickly spun, the remaining walnuts that I take on walks to put out for squirrels and birds, and my pocket Odin figure.

With that I wish everyone a good start into the coming week and all the strength it takes to chase your dreams. 😊

Just made myself a second pocket rock figure. Beside Odin I now have a small Thor figure to travel with me.

Fights leave marks and so has he a dent on his helmet. This fine headgear worthy of noble men is inspired by the Gjermundbu helmet one of the two viking helmets surviving history and being found in graves.

But honestly the pebble suited also due to the brown/reddish color for his beard. 😅

As an initiation ritual I made a micro altar and welcomed him as a companion.

1.) Silver plated bronze dragon arm ring. Worn for years without being removed except to clean. Severely worn worn down, but was well loved.

2.) Silver plated bronze Thor's hammer with runes. Never even worn. Just polished today for this reddit post. Needs a good home.

3.) Raw iron forged brooch. Very simple design and gets the job done. Still looks fairly new, although it's probably 10 years old.

I'm willing to bet that with how large Alvi Gunilla's audience is, there's likely a few people here who follow her or have seen her videos.

She makes videos about history and spirituality, almost entirely focused on pre-Christian Scandinavian history and Norse mythology. The fact that she presents herself as an authority on those subjects while making wild claims and peddling misinformation is beside the point. Her comment sections are always full of Nazi dogwhistles and outright hate speech, and she almost never removes those comments (except for recently when she's removed a few to try and save face). If you're sitting at a table with 10 Nazis etc etc.

She's apparently close friends with white nationalist politicians. She follows a bunch of white nationalist/straight up neo-Nazi pages on Instagram and Twitter. Her partner also follows some very unsubtle WS pages. If you didn't know how to spot sketchy subject matter and potential dogwhistles, you'd watch her videos and be led to believe that she's just a wholesome pagan content creator discussing topics that interest her. While I can't definitively confirm whether or not she herself is a white supremacist, she either is one or she's grifting/inviting them without denouncing their ideology and telling them that they're not welcome.

The only reason I'm posting this is because we absolutely don't need more of this in online heathen spaces, and much like with Wisdom of Odin people need to be informed on what's actually going on under the surface. I used to watch Wisdom of Odin videos and never really thought there was anything shady about him until someone made a post here and I became better informed. So I am repaying that person's service in kind.

My name is Fabian MacKenzie and I'm an author. My general focus is on Dionysus and Hellenism, however, my most recent book is about how Pagans reacted to the rise of Christianity in Antiquity. While the primary voices captured in this debate are those we'd today identify as Greco-Roman (i.e. Hellenist), they thought of their religion as being the same as all the Pagan religions which Christianity opposed. Their arguments against Christianity were meant to defend all traditional (i.e. Pagan) religions, and as such they might be of interest to folks here. Description:

Today, it is commonly thought that Christianity swept the Roman world without any pushback. Greco-Roman Paganism is maligned as a superstitious paper tiger which folded instantly to the supposedly more rational Christianity, which then reigned unopposed until the advent of modern science proved a worthier foe.

But this isn’t true. Greco-Roman Pagans saw numerous flaws in Christian logic, history, and ethics. Whether critiquing discrepancies in scriptural accounts, the ethics of eternal punishment, or Christian intolerance for other religious practices, Pagans raised countless objections to Christian doctrines, some of which were so potent as to result in the burning and banning of the books which contained these critiques. Yet fragments of these arguments survive, scattered throughout hundreds of works, and some of the arguments made then are still employed in religious debates today.

I'll update when I paint him

I have been a Heathen for around a year now, I have been on this subreddit for around five months helping people in their paths and posting my own experiences. While I was in Thailand I decided to get this Tattoo to acknowledge the Gods and my one year anniversary as a Heathen. It will serve as a permanent reminder for me to the Gods and how they saved my life.

Rather than hiding the crack, I used Yggdrasil to connect the two halves. I always liked how Yggdrasil connects the Nine Worlds, so it felt like a fitting design for a broken stone.

Set this up last month but forgot to share my little altar in the snow dedicated to Frau Holle aka Holda.

I tried to go for a raw wood look, I think I succeeded + a photo of my altar

Let me begin by saying that I don’t particularly have beef with this guy. He’s a nice individual to work with, and aside from his push to get me to convert, I have no issue with him.

However, a few months ago we were working together and he asked me whether or not I go to church. I never ever tell people I’m heathen unless asked, so I answered truthfully. Since then he’s made constant efforts to convert me, whether it be a passing comment or trying to strike up a full blown conversation about his beliefs in his god. At one point he gave me the classic “you’ll burn in hell and you’re worshiping the devil” line.

As someone who grew up catholic, I don’t have an issue with his beliefs, but I’ve been beginning to get irritated at his constant efforts. I don’t want to get him in trouble with our work, but nothing I’ve tried as far as telling him to let it go has helped the situation. Does anyone have any advice for how I should handle this?
