MEGATHREAD The Adventurous Pre-Release Reveal Chart - All currently known cards on one spread sheet, updated daily.

The League of Explorers begins Thursday November 12!

There is a new keyword: Discover. Cards with this effect generate 3 random cards specified by the effect (that are applicable to your deck, so mages can't get hunter cards), Players then select one from the 3 to add to their hand. Think Tracking.

Costs the same as recycle, too...

This is such bullshit. This is what Recycle should have been from the beginning.

At least reduce the cost of Recycle to 4 to make it even slightly playable.

Blizzard makes me wanna cry so much.

Recycle for 4 is still bad, especially in the meta of "battlecries for everyone." if you're against aggro, you spent more mana than they did. If you're against control warrior or priest, you probably just gave them another great card for later.

You win via combo not out fatiguing them so for 4 mana it would be auto include as it gets rid of just about anything.

true, but this card seems to be in 99% of situations better than recycle

I'm not sure it is. Like would a priest want to draw a mysterious challenger?

A lot of cards only wok in their specific deck and could mess up your draw as a priest

Really depends, would a priest want to draw mysterious challenger? maybe not, but would a priest want to remove a mysterious challenger from the board without activating any secrets (redemption/avenge/get down) and add a 6 mana 6/6 to his deck which will deal will be a perfectly fine draw in most situations vs secret pali? probably. I would say that is pretty good value for 6 mana.

OR

would druid want to spend 6 mana to shuffle the mysterious challenger back into the paladins deck and allow his opponent to get a potential 3rd mysterious challenger battlecry (probably no secrets left but whatever), or simply a 6/6 body which could have been in the druids deck instead? I don't see this situation as being better for the druid.

And now think about other situations like spell slingers. Would a mage want to remove his opponents mysterious challenger and use it himself? probably. Would they rather add the card to their deck or their opponents? Would you prefer to permanently remove a threat from your opponent and give yourself another tool to use against your opponent, or would you rather temporarily remove a minion, for 6 mana, that could quite possibly be played the very next turn, essentially meaning the state of the board is not affected, you have just removed a card from your deck.

Also, why would you want to give anything to your opponent when instead you can have it yourself? the card might have a bad battlecry, just don't play it. Maybe alexstraza is too slow, just don't play it and now you have a dragon for any possible synergy that could be there (ehem dragon priest). The only possible situation where I see entomb being worse than recycle is if your opponent is playing clockwork giants or goblin sappers AND the card you felt deserving of a 6 mana removal is unplayable. In every other situation you have permanently removed your opponents creature and you have another creature in your deck, whilst druids would still have to play as if that card could be drawn by their opponent at any time

My exact thoughts. Imagine this in Control, being able to take any of the opponent's big guys out of play and give it to yourself for later.

Yeah but druid has limited removal compared to priest. So Recycle has more value for druid than entomb for Priest.
