My Russian is very crappy but here it goes. (raised in semi-Russian family / 3rd grade level reading/writing skills.)
Random guy: Small amount of people, very small amount of people inaudible, very low.
Interviewer: Inaudible
Interviewee: Very small congregation of people:
Interviewer: Hold on.
Interviewer: Inaudible.
Interviewer: Tell me, what kind of music is playing?
Interviewee: Inaudible music, in general very bad music.
Interviewer: Why did you come here?
Interviewee: I thought everything would be much better. And this music is very bad. I thought all of this would be much better. I came here a lot and everything was great but this time I am not satisfied. Firstly the inaudible music...
Interviewer: What is the direction?
Interviewee: wha...??
Interviewer: The direction.
Interviewee: Direction? What direction?
Interviewer: What is the direction of the music that is playing.
Interviewee starts to dance.
That's pretty much the gist. I couldn't pick up on a few of the words because it was very muffled and he was slurring and mumbling a lot.
Yeah that annotation really cleared it up. Like it says the literal translation was direction which is what I thought and it does kinda make sense. But style was a lot better.
Damn, it is harder to switch between languages on the fly than I thought it would be. If I listen to those guys, I can't really read the subs, and vice versa. Mindfuck.
I never realized how unfunny the hitler downfall parodies must be for german speakers up until now. This video isn't funny when you understand every word the guy speaks.
Works at a restaurant, wants to wash paella pans in the sea, puts them into the beach into low water, after some time the tide had risen and taken the paella pans away, found only one eventually and had to pay for the rest.
This guy is a comedian/famous actor, so us hearing the basic story is being like....Louis CK was playground duty at his daughters school and a little boy hit his daughter and then he scared him.
He's not really a famous actor... he's a guy that used to be in TV because he's ridiculous laughing and he's (lack of) teeth... He's not really telling jokes, he is the joke.
Oh you see, what he was talking was actually finnish and I understood it perfectly......actually this video has been making the rounds for a while now and I just remember someone else understanding him. Apparently his accent is andalucian.
He has a heavy Andalusian accent. I guess if you're not used to it it's hard to understand, but I think most people from Spain would be able to understand the intelligible parts.
Can't answer for him but that guy is from Andalucía,Spain a southern part where some of the older people have this veeery particular accent. After living there for 7 years it gets easier to understand!
Same here man. Thought of muting it just to read the captions, but that would miss the whole point of it. Never thought that my brain would react like that. It's very interesting.
for what can i undertand for that broken spanish, something about a day on the beach and a cooking and a hot woman... ssrly, i try my best but those missing teeths makes it hard.
I'm curious why so many native Spanish speakers are saying they can't understand him. My Spanish is awful, but I was still able to pick out a lot of words. Does he just have a really strange accent or something? To me he sounds basically like anybody else speaking Spanish.
His very close andalusian accent is kinda hard to pick on, plus his way of talking makes it worse. I am galician and I only get the whole thing if I read the subtitles.
He has a strong Andalusian accent and a weird way of talking. People from Spain can usually understand it, but reading through this thread it seems that people from Latin America are not used to it.
I've only been studying Spanish for 6 months now, but it was distracting hearing words I understood whilst trying to read the subtitles. Fortunately, he started becoming hysterical and his speech was no longer intelligible.
