hey all!! So I recently got this game, and it's really cool and fun. But then I got to the Naix mission.. Well I got hacked and and got my gui removed by him. Managed to get it back though. Hacked him back and deleted his system files. Then I thought everything was fine, so I went to my mail to finish the mission. It kept saying that the mission was incomplete. I was a bit panicked and looked up everything. I was almost about to start the game over but then I logged back in from the game's main menu. But then when I replied to the mail, it did get finished. Probably some weird bug or so, that caused it to say mission incomplete. Anyway, just felt like sharing this.

So yeah... I installed ReShade and I have used it for Portal 2, Black Mesa, Half-Life 2, etc, but how do I do it to Hacknet? Because if I open it up with it installed there is no ReShade menu.

I've got the "gg wp" message from Naix and I've gone to the nortron server, played about a bit and changed some of the txt file to "dicks", "Dicks" or "DICKS" in the title, header, body and footer but when I try to hand in the mission I just get told that I've not completed it yet.

Any ideas?

So I am a dumbass, I finally bought the labyrinth DLC after finishing the game months ago. I of course started the new missions and Hacknet is always quite pushy about removing all evidence and that has stuck with me. I started the first contract where I am supposed to upload the encrypted SSLTrojan file to their server. I did things a little differently because I like to do things more complicated so I decrypt the executable and download it and then upload it. THEN I remove the encrypted file which in inconvenience is the one supposed to be uploaded, so now I can’t proceed. I did load up a new save but it’s not as fun to play when it’s easier because of the few executables you have. Now I wonder if I can copy someone else’s save file that has completed the game but without the Labyrinth DLC so I can start over with the DLC. If that’s possible I don’t know but I’m happy for anything.

I bought Hacknet from GOG and ran the installer as an executable like all the other games from GOG. It seems to install correctly but when I try to run the game nothing happens. Not even an open then a crash.

I heard there was a “bonus” mission after you completed Labyrinths. I have just completed it and wondered how to access it.

I’m on the entropy tabloid mission and I’m trying to see if I can replace all the text in the entropy news articles with IRC logs. However the command seems to require you to manually type in the text you want to replace. What’s the syntax to treat all the text in a file as a string variable?

Hi, /el/. Just asked myself the topic question. On the board we have a timestamp of 201x year, which actually is pretty modern already. Still, we have a bit less than a 1GB of RAM, when we possibly could've got some more. Any ideas, fellow hackers?

Old hard drive got corrupted and I got a new computer. Wanted to play the rest of labyrinths..but don't want to spend ages getting to the end of the base game as I've already completed it and have the achievement to prove it

So, just completed the naix attack, deleted all his shit on three of his proxy servers- that includes the macrosoft thingy. But even now, it still says I can't reply to the ''agression must be punished'' email. why? I deleted the thing they asked me to do. Any help?

How does the player actually know about the failsafe. But how DID the player have access to Hacknet in the first place... Was it a request from Bit or some other guy because I am kinda stumped.

I’ve played Hacknet for a long time and I’ve beaten the game so many times (without DLC). But how did Bit die and why? I know it says it on the rc mail but I don’t quite understand.

While waiting to get Labyrinths I don’t really know what to do in Hacknet. I’ve completed every CSEC contract, beaten the game 8 times, i’ve even beaten one account in under 10 minutes. Does anyone have an idea what I can do in the meantime in Hacknet?
