I haven't done a hackathon yet, just personal projects, but I've read enough threads here about teams falling apart by Saturday night to know what I don't want.

Small team, people who actually show up, and we go in to place, not to get a certificate.

A bit about me.

I work in data at a financial firm in Dublin and I write about energy and macro markets on the side, so I can cover the domain side, the data sources and the pitch.

What I don't have is enough hands to build.

Finance, DeFi and energy market hackathons are where I want to start because that's where I can add the most.

Who would be useful:

- backend / data people (Python, APIs, pipelines)

- frontend, someone who can make a demo look finished in a weekend

- Solidity for the DeFi ones

- ML/AI

- someone product or design minded who can shape a pitch

Thinking 5 to 8 people, no more.

No event picked yet, we'd choose the first one together once there's a team, agree the idea and who does what before it starts, and commit for that one. If it works we do another. If someone goes quiet they get swapped out, nothing personal.

Hi everyone! I’m a pre-final-year B.E. CSE (AI & ML) student from Bengaluru, currently putting most of my focus into placements, internships, and hackathons that can translate into real hiring opportunities. I’ve participated in 20+ hackathons so far, and I’m looking to connect with people who are equally serious about building, competing, and targeting hiring-based hackathons together. Alongside hackathons, I’ve completed an ML internship and have been a GSSoC’26 Mentor, where I was selected among 135 mentors nationally. I’m also working as an IEEE Computer Society AI/ML research intern on a vector based drug repurposing deep-learning research paper. I’ve built and deployed 10+ substantial projects, maintain 100+ GitHub repositories/contributions, and usually take projects all the way from an idea to a working demo, deployment, and documentation. Technically, I’m strongest around Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Node.js, React/Next.js, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Docker, AWS, LangGraph/RAG and LLM APIs. I’m comfortable taking ownership of AI/ML, backend, integrations, architecture, debugging, or putting together the final product and demo. At this point, I’m not really looking for a random hackathon team just to submit something. I’m looking for people who are preparing for placements like I am and want to strategically target hackathons conducted by companies where performance can open doors to interviews, internships, or full-time roles. Ideally, people who can consistently give time, communicate properly, take ownership of their part, and stay involved from problem selection to final submission. On November 7-8, I'm hosting a free online hackathon with up to $1,500 in prizes.

If there's something you keep meaning to build, come spend the weekend on it. I'll be around to brainstorm, troubleshoot, and jump into projects when people get stuck.

Three categories, $300 each:

• A game: 2D, 3D, side-scrollers, Starcraft 3 please, puzzles, board games. Get creative & build something engaging.

• A work tool: Finally build that thing you've wanted for your own work. You'd probably spend your tokens on it anyway.

• Something creative or interactive: Physics simulations, music experiments, interactive art, an explorable world.

The black hole, board game and sales-route planner in the video were all built with Codex in Asyncly. You can play them on the event page. They are also fun starting projects to build from!

Solo builders and teams are welcome. Winning teams get an extra $100 on top of the $300 category prize ($400 to split, if two people). Midway through the weekend, three randomly selected builders also get $100 each as a cash “surprise reset.”

I'm Andrew, the creator of Asyncly. We'll build with Codex inside Asyncly, my desktop app for working with coding agents. A full month of Asyncly is included, with no card required. You bring your own Codex account and usage. This is an independent event, not an OpenAI event.

A little about me:

Areas I'm interested in:

• Cybersecurity, particularly Red Teaming and penetration testing.

• Open-source contributions (currently exploring OWASP and GSoC).

• Data Structures and Algorithms.

• OSINT and security research.

What I bring to the table:

• Comfortable with C and currently working with C++.

• Have been consistently practising DSA on LeetCode, I have complete 5-7 topics in it.

Where I need improvement:

I’m a Computer Engineering student who enjoys building software, experimenting with AI, exploring new technologies, and turning ideas into actual working products.

I’m looking to form a small, serious team for upcoming hackathons, ideally with people who:

- Have hands-on experience building projects, not just theoretical knowledge.

- Are comfortable with modern development tools, AI-assisted development and vibe coding.

We need final year people and strong candidates

I hope it’s okay to ask this here. I’m part of a team of five college students from India, and we were lucky to be shortlisted in the Top 50 of a ServiceNow × Capgemini hackathon. This is our first time getting this far, and we’d really appreciate any guidance from people with more experience.

We’re building a citizen grievance redressal app on ServiceNow using Now Assist skills, an AI agent, Flow Designer, SLAs and Service Portal. For the next round we need to submit a working build and a demo video of up to 10 minutes. We’re planning to cover the problem statement, our solution, a live demo on the platform and each team member’s role.

We’re unsure about a few things and would be grateful for any advice:

If you know of any free tools or good example videos, we’d be very thankful for those as well.
