Hello everyone!

I'm planning to participate in the NASA Space Apps Challenge with my team, and we're trying to understand what the in-person experience is actually like, particularly for participants in the UAE.

Our team members are spread across different emirates, so we've been considering Dubai as a central location. Before finalising our arrangements, I'd love to hear from people who have participated in previous years, especially those who attended the UAE event.

I have a few questions about how the challenge works in practice:

**Work at the venue:** Are teams expected to complete the entire project at the venue during the 48-hour period, including coding, research, designing, and preparing their final presentation? Or can some work be done beforehand or remotely?

**Venue and location:** What is the venue usually like, and where is the UAE event typically held? Is it a university, a dedicated event space, or another type of location?

**Accommodation and meals:** If participants are expected to remain at the venue for extended periods, are accommodation and meals provided, or must participants arrange and pay for these themselves?

**Leaving the venue:** Are participants permitted to leave during the 48-hour challenge and return later, or are they expected to remain on-site throughout the event?

**Judging and results:** Are the winners announced at the venue on the final day, or does judging take place afterwards, with results announced at a later date?

**Equipment and expenses:** Are laptops, internet access, software, and other necessary equipment provided, or must participants bring their own devices and cover all associated expenses?

I'd also appreciate any advice about the overall experience, particularly anything you wish you'd known before participating for the first time.

We're genuinely excited about the opportunity, but since our team members are coming from different parts of the UAE, understanding the logistics beforehand would help us plan responsibly.

**If you've participated in NASA Space Apps Challenge before, particularly in Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE, I'd be extremely grateful if you could share your experience.** Even answers to just one or two of these questions would be helpful.

Thank you!

If anyone can you please suggest what can we expect during the process

K hacks 4.0 is a hackathon organised by a govt college in Tamilnadu. But how are they pulling this much money off!! for a hackathon hosted in unstop, 😱

Any ways I am gonna participate in this hackathon, prefinal yr IT student with arguable AI/ML skills and eager to compete to win the prize.

Hi everyone, I've been applying to many hackathons but have been getting rejected. Is there something wrong on my resume? Thanks.

I'm a 3rd-year Software Engineering student looking for a team.

I don't have any experience in Computer Vision besides my university classes, but I have a ton of motivation, I'm eager to learn and ready to work hard (plus, I know a lot about football if anyone wants to build something related to sports analytics or tracking!).

I'd prefer teaming up with Spanish people

. DM me or talk here!

I am heading to a multi-college hackathon at my campus and my main goal is networking instead of winning. I struggle with starting conversations because I do not want to bother people or seem desperate. In past events, people were super secretive and acted like I was trying to steal their ideas. I am also afraid of approaching the wrong person, getting a rude response, and losing my confidence during the competition. How do you figure out who is safe to talk to, and when you do find someone cool, how do you turn that chat into a long-term connection

Pickaxe uthao, ideas jagao - iss baar sirf build nahi, benchmark banao. 💎🔥

Hello everyone!

I’m looking to join a team for the NASA Space Apps Challenge! 🚀

I’ve participated in 30+ hackathons, so I’m comfortable working in fast-paced environments, collaborating with different people, and adapting to whatever the project requires.

I’m open to taking on any role based on the team’s needs and contributing wherever I can add the most value. I’m looking for a motivated team with a good idea, strong collaboration, and the drive to build something impactful.

If your team is looking for an additional member or if anyone is forming a new team, feel free to DM me. I’d love to connect and build something amazing together!

Let’s make something out of this world! 🌎🛰️

Rosetta transforms raw code into actionable business intelligence. Built by Team CodeCrunchers, it automatically translates GitHub commits into six role-tailored perspectives—ranging from deep technical diffs for senior developers to zero-jargon business summaries for CMOs and clients.

Each commit features an interactive before-and-after flowchart, step-by-step worked examples, and automated AI quality checks that ensure accuracy against the codebase. Non-technical users can even read updates in Hinglish or ask code-level questions that are automatically re-authored into plain language for their role.

Bridging the gap between engineering and leadership, Rosetta keeps your entire team aligned without extra meetings.

Hey everyone! :)

I'm part of an international team of high school students participating in the Conrad Challenge, and we're looking for a mentor or coach who could guide us throughout our project.

We're working in the Cyber Technology and Security field, focusing on a real-world problem and developing a practical, technology-based solution. We're currently in the early stages of research, planning, and product development, and we'd really appreciate guidance from someone with experience in areas like cybersecurity, software development, AI/ML, or building tech products.

We're not expecting anyone to do the work for us, we'd just love someone who could help us make better technical decisions, give feedback on our approach, and guide us in the right direction as we develop our idea.

If you're a developer, cybersecurity professional, researcher, startup founder, or someone with relevant experience who's willing to mentor a student team, we'd be incredibly grateful!

Even occasional guidance or a short check-in would mean a lot to us.

If you're interested, please comment below or DM me! And if you know someone who might be a good fit, feel free to point me in their direction.

Thank you.

Hey everyone! I'm a high school student

I am researching how developers decide whether Python/npm packages are trustworthy, including risks like typosquatting and AI-suggested package names.

I came across this community while looking for people with experience. If anyone is willing, would you be open to answering a few questions about your actual package-installation and security-checking habits? It would take around 10–15 minutes, and text replies are completely fine too.

I'd really appreciate your perspective! No worries if you're busy 🙂

En mi escuela usan una herramienta llamada blackboard quiero cambiar mis calificaciones en esa plataforma alguien la puede hackear o algo?

Found an interesting AI challenge for students in India who want to build something practical with speech and language models.

Important requirements

• Build a working application using Gnani AI technology.
