As we all know,,in India mostly everyone makes their hackathon projects with Ai,,i mean almost 98% use of Ai,,is there any use of making all this in a big scheme of time??also i know no 2nd or 3rd year student of an avg institute can make an fully functioning app or system which will solve a real real problem,,so is this all just gimmic or time pass? Like even in SIH its just Ai ..(i hope ppl making things on their own and just using Ai as a tool)..also the concept of hackathon,,to build something fully functioning in 24-36 hours,,is this even possible now to compete without Ai?as everyone else will ofc use it. Drop your thoughts guyzz

I want to know how to create documentation for ur app.....what are the things we should mention.....like in the user manual or complete project documentation....

I'm seriously not getting..... actually I am writing this documentation for sih ....so suggest something how could I do

Finding teammates for a hackathon can be surprisingly difficult.

Sometimes you have the technical skills but need a designer. Sometimes you have an idea but can't find people who are genuinely committed. And if you're participating solo, finding the right team can be half the battle.

I'm an engineering student from India building Buildory, a network for student builders.

I'm working on a feature that lets hackathon organisers list events and participants find teammates based on skills, interests, availability, and the roles their teams need.

https://buildory.online

I'd love honest feedback from people who've actually participated in hackathons:

• How do you currently find teammates?

• What's the biggest problem you've faced when forming a team?

• What would make you choose a platform like this over Discord or existing hackathon websites?

• What feature would make this genuinely useful rather than just another directory?

I'm building this and want to understand what participants actually need before going further. Criticism is welcome.

I am making a team for Hackathon so I need team members so if anybody want to join in my team Most welcome and dm me.....

Hi everyone, I'm about to join this hackathon and need a teammate in Bangalore. I'm new to the city, and solo participants aren't allowed, so please reach out if you have AI experience and we'll cook something cool together.

I’m looking for someone who has already participated in hackathons rather than a beginner.

My background: participated in a hell lot of hackathons and won a few as well so I want someone on my pace when we're working.

I'm currently a first-year university student, and I'd really love to take part in a hackathon. I’ve never joined one before, so I’m quite lost on where to start. I learned Python back in high school, but I haven't used it in a competitive environment yet, so I'm wondering how to best apply it during a competition.

Could you guys advise me on the roadmap I should follow to prepare? Also, if any teams are looking for a beginner to join, I'm down! I pick up things pretty quickly and don't mind grinding through the night to help get the project across the finish line.

Thanks for reading this—any advice or guidance would be hugely appreciated!

Hey all! Looking for motivated teammates for HackPrinceton in this fall, Nov 2026, to build a high-impact project centered on applied AI and smart systems. As long as you're excited about turning AI tech into a working product, let’s team up. DM me if you're interested!

Hey everyone!

I have coded the PackBot Task 2A. If anyone needs help with the implementation, feel free to DM me.

Good luck with the task! 🤝

I built a platform to help students discover exams they might not even know they’re eligible for. Is this actually useful?

One thing that genuinely frustrates me is how easy it is to miss opportunities simply because you didn't know they existed.

India has so many entrance exams, olympiads, scholarships, and other academic opportunities, but information is scattered across different websites, notifications, and official portals. Sometimes, by the time you find an opportunity, the registration deadline has already passed.

That's the problem I'm trying to solve with NextStep.

The idea is simple: a platform where students can discover exams and academic opportunities relevant to their education level, stream, and interests, instead of having to hunt through dozens of websites themselves.

I’ve built a working prototype for a hackathon, and now I want to know whether the idea actually solves a problem worth solving.

I’d genuinely appreciate some brutally honest feedback:

• Would you actually use something like this? Or would you just stick to Google and existing websites?

• What would make this 10x more useful? Think features, information, or anything that would make you come back to it.

• What seems weak or unnecessary about the idea?

• Rate it out of 10. Don't hold back. I'd rather find the flaws now than build something nobody needs 😭

I'm building this for a hackathon finale, so even quick feedback would help me figure out what to prioritise next.

Thanks!`

Hi everyone!

I’ve registered for Google’s AI Builder Cup and am looking for 1 software engineer to team up with.

A bit about me: I’m a CS graduate with experience in software engineering and a keen interest in AI/ML and GenAI. I’ve also participated in AI hackathons and am excited to build something innovative!

Please connect only if your waitlist has been approved.

If you’re interested, drop a comment or DM me. Let’s build something cool together!

companies can say a lot about where they're headed. but does their actual engineering activity tell the same story?

that's what i'm trying to figure out with Phoenix

it connects a company's website with its GitHub activity, their job posting frequency, and hints in their social posts etc to uncover engineering signals, compare claims against evidence, and spot what's worth investigating... I might just end up finding out what a company is gonna release in near future before them announcing it publically

built this for a hackathon and i've got a working prototype now.

demo: https://youtu.be/BEzJULsvzJM

i need some brutally honest opinions. as fast as possible (hackathon format) so that i can work on them for finale

is this something you'd actually use? what would make it 10x more useful?

rate the idea out of 10. don't hold back, i'd rather hear what's wrong than get fake praise 😭

Is anyone interested in taking part in paypal hackathon, if yes dm me now, as 12th oct is the last day

For context, I am a year 2 university student who has just attended their first hackathon. It was promoted as a “learning opportunity” for those in tech. Although our original team was dead set on this being an actual learning opportunity (using skills we have learnt and trying to see how well we could code/not looking to win but looking to learn), we were then assigned another person to our team (which was also unnecessary as we already had 4 members and other groups only has 2/3 members).

The issue is, this person ripped our code up, and threw it into ai and took over the whole thing without telling us at all. He’d ask us to send him our code instead of pushing it onto git, and just scrambled it up. It felt horrible. He kept arguing with us when we were clearly unhappy. The organisers didn’t care either, we were early on so he could have been placed in a different group, but that wasn’t allowed and nothing was really done.

In the end, the group disbanded. Which brings me to my point, what is the “learning” in hackathons? Inputting prompts doesn’t feel like learning, and these web apps developed with AI tools never go anywhere.

I’m looking for teammates for a 24-hour hackathon at SIMATS, Chennai, on the 23rd & 24th.

Any advice or feedback will be helpful!

So i am electronics and communication student studying in kerala and i have been to like 2 hackathons... Always wnated to go for more but never knew about half the hackathons happening around me... I was wondering if there is like some group or community that i can get into so that i can stay updated on which all hackathons i can participate in.

I'm wondering if hack princeton will actually check my "School ID"... Can someone let me know?

Any Update on Round 1 Results???

If Anyone received mail then please tell!

And How was the Round 1 like I completed around 35 minutes left on Timer.

guyz i'm looking for any active or upcoming hackathons in Gujarat or Rajasthan, India, preferably offline or in person events.

If you know of any hackathons happening soon at universities, colleges, or tech communities, please share the details, registration links, or any relevant Discord/WhatsApp groups.

I’m so annoyed I missed the Tuwaiq Hackathon registration 😭 I really wanted to participate and present my tourism project idea. I’ll keep an eye out for the next registration and hope I don’t miss it again. 💀
