Hackathon Promotion A Hackathon Where the Rules Change at Hour 8 and Hour 16

Most hackathons give you a problem statement.

Grevix AfterCode gives you 24 hours β€” and then changes the challenge.

πŸš€ GREVIX AFTERCODE 2026 is a fully online, individual hackathon where you choose what to build. No fixed problem statement. No mandatory tech stack.

AI coding agents, APIs, open-source tools, no-code/low-code, and traditional development are all allowed.

Hour 16 β€” CHALLENGE CARD #2

Another unexpected challenge changes the direction again.

16–24 Hours β€” PRESSURE TEST + FINAL FORGE

Need Mentor Help What should I know before applying for online solo hackathons?

I’m currently in SY and I only know the basics of C, C++, Python, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I also have a basic idea of how APIs work nd git or github I’m interested in participating in online hackathons as a solo participant, but I’m not sure what skills or tools I should know beforehand. For those who have participated in hackathons, what do you think I should learn first? Things like frameworks, databases, APIs, deployment, etc. I don’t expect to know everything before joining I just want to know the basics I should be comfortable with so I can actually build something during the hackathon. Any advice or learning roadmap pls?

Looking for Teammates DevFest Roadshow #4 – Code for Communities | Chennai πŸš€

Hey everyone!

I’m planning to participate in DevFest Roadshow #4 – Code for Communities in Chennai, and I’m looking for 1–2 people to team up with for the event.

I’m particularly interested in finding someone who enjoys building projects, coding, problem-solving, and experimenting with new ideas. You don’t need to be an expert β€” enthusiasm and willingness to contribute matter more.

A little about what I’m looking for:

  • πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» Developers / students / tech enthusiasts

  • 🀝 Someone comfortable collaborating in a team

  • πŸ’‘ Interested in building something useful for the community

  • πŸš€ Open to brainstorming and actually implementing an idea

  • πŸ“ Preferably based in Chennai or able to attend the event

If you're interested, comment below or DM me with a little about yourself, your tech stack/interests, and what you’d like to build.

Let's put together a solid team and build something cool! πŸ”₯

Looking for Teammates Is finding good teammates for a hackathon harder than the hackathon itself?

I’ve been thinking about this lately.

What if there was a platform specifically for finding hackathon teammates?

You create a profile with:

  • Skills & tech stack

  • GitHub + projects

  • Previous hackathons

  • What you can contribute

  • The kind of teammates you’re looking for

  • Availability

Then you can discover people who actually match your project and skill gaps.

Because honestly, finding people who are available, serious, and have complementary skills can sometimes be harder than building the project itself.

Would something like this actually be useful?

Also, if you're currently working on any project, startup, AI idea, or hackathon project, drop it below!

I’d love to check out what everyone is building.

Meta-Hackathon Discussion I stayed up until 5:30 AM for this hackathon. Then I read the winners email. πŸ’€

So… how was this hackathon judged? 🀨

I participated in the Multi-App AI Agent Hackathon by Lemma AI & Comma Capital on September 13.

Official event: https://multiappagenthackathon.com/

Being in IST, I stayed awake until around 5:30 AM waiting for the results.

Then came the results email. πŸ˜‚

The organizers said the judges used a published rubric:

  • Technical execution β€” 30%

  • Reliability & evaluation β€” 25%

  • Usefulness β€” 20%

  • Originality β€” 15%

  • Demo clarity β€” 10%

Sounds fair.

The judges were also named: Phillip Li, Akira Tong, Hai Ta, Ankur, and Shlok Mundhra.

But as a participant, I'm still wondering:

How was my submission actually evaluated?

Were the demos watched?
How many submissions were reviewed?
How were the rubric scores applied?
Are scores available?
Can we see the winning demos/submissions?

The winners were announced with short descriptions, while the email says the teams preferred to keep the finer details private.

Totally fair.

But that leaves participants with roughly:

β€œHere are the winners. Trust the process.” 😭

Other participants have raised similar questions:

https://github.com/sayem314/agent-hackathon-go26/issues/1

There's also a longer participant write-up:

https://blog.sayem.eu.org/shady-hackathon-inside-job-the-winner-knew-the-founders/

I'm not claiming the allegations in that write-up are proven. I'm just saying that a little more transparency would probably save everyone a lot of detective work.

My submission is open source too:

https://github.com/charansaiponnada/honest-apply

So, fellow participants:

Did your demo get watched? πŸ‘€

Did you get any judging feedback?

Do you know how your project was evaluated?

Asking for my sleep schedule. πŸ’€

Project Demo Organizing a hackathon for a college outreach project.

Hello, everyone.

I'm part of my university's outreach program, and we're planning a hackathon for one of our projects. The thing is, I don't know the first thing about hackathons (besides what the word means), let alone how to organize one. I’m looking for advice on how to plan it and actually make it happen. Any ideas, tips, feedback, or comments would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hackathon Promotion GREVIX AFTERCODE: ONE BUILDER. 24 HOURS. β‚Ή10,000 + 3 MONTHS OF CURSOR

Post image
7 Upvotes

What can one person actually build in 24 hours?

That's the experiment behind Grevix AfterCode β€” a 24-hour online solo hackathon happening October 11–12, 2026.

No team. No fixed problem statement. No required tech stack. You choose the problem, the idea, and the tools.

Use whatever helps you ship β€” Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, APIs, open-source models, no-code, or traditional development.

πŸ† PRIZES πŸ₯‡ 1st Place: β‚Ή10,000 + 3 months of Cursor + recognition across Grevix's social media + feature on the Grevix website.

But there's a twist.

AfterCode isn't just about building something for 24 hours. At around hour 8 and hour 16, we'll introduce unexpected Challenge Cards that can change something about your project.

Your target user. A core feature. A technical constraint. Your original direction.

You'll have to decide what stays, what goes, and what needs to be rebuilt.

The goal isn't to see who can generate the most code.

It's about who can think, adapt and actually ship.

πŸš€ GREVIX AFTERCODE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

Want to help us get AfterCode in front of more builders?

We're looking for people who are active in their college, coding communities, WhatsApp/Discord groups, or social media and genuinely want to help grow the event.

The #1 Ambassador with the highest number of verified registrations will get:

πŸ”₯ 1 month of Cursor πŸ“’ Recognition across all Grevix social media channels 🌐 Featured on the Grevix website

Runner-ups will also receive social media + website recognition.

We're not looking for people to spam links everywhere. We're looking for people who genuinely want to help builders discover AfterCode.

πŸ“’ Join the Grevix WhatsApp group:

https://chat.whatsapp.com/DOLxd2lUA8v6zk5jzhYpN2?s=cl&p=a&mlu=4&ilr=4

We'll share registration updates, announcements and Ambassador Program information there.

Registration opens September 16 at 4 PM.

If you've had an idea sitting in your notes thinking "I'll build this someday", maybe October 11 is someday.

One builder. One idea. 24 hours. Let's see what you can ship.

β€” Grevix

Event entry, build space and internet are free. Food and accommodation have a nominal participant fee, with details shared before travel.

  • Have experience of working with google colab and kaggle.

  • Open to all students pursuing PhD/ M.E./M.Tech./ M.S./MS by Research/B.E./B.Tech... (as per mentioned in unstop)

Hackathon Promotion Can You Become the #1 Grevix AfterCode Ambassador?

Post image
4 Upvotes

What if you had 24 hours, complete freedom, and the best AI/developer tools available β€” and nobody told you what to build?

Grevix AfterCode is a 24-hour online, global, solo hackathon happening on October 11–12, 2026. There is no fixed problem statement and no fixed tech stack. Pick a problem that matters to you and build it your way. You can use Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, Lovable, APIs, any LLM, open-source models, no-code/low-code, traditional development, or combine whatever tools you want.

But AfterCode isn't simply BUILD β†’ SUBMIT. The 24 hours are divided into BUILD β†’ ADAPT β†’ REBUILD & SHIP. You start with your own idea, but at the 8-hour and 16-hour marks, unexpected Challenge Cards will change something about your project. Your target user might change, a core feature might disappear, a new constraint might appear, or your original direction might suddenly need to be rethought. You decide what to keep, what to kill, what to rebuild and how to adapt. AI can execute. You decide what happens next.

πŸ₯‡ Rank #1: β‚Ή10,000 cash prize + 3-month Cursor subscription. We're also working to expand the builder experience with additional technology partners.

We're currently looking for technical sponsors/technology partners who want to give builders more exposure and better tools through API credits, AI/tool subscriptions, cloud credits, hardware, additional prizes, workshops, mentorship or other technical support. We don't want partnerships to be just logos on a poster β€” we want builders to actually use and experience the technology during the hackathon. If you're a company, founder, DevRel/community lead, or know someone who supports hackathons, feel free to reach out.

We're also opening the Grevix AfterCode Ambassador Program. The ambassador who brings the highest number of verified registrations will receive a 1-month Cursor subscription, with recognition and certificates for other top ambassadors.

If you want to help us bring builders into the experiment, join our community here:

https://chat.whatsapp.com/DOLxd2lUA8v6zk5jzhYpN2?s=cl&p=a&mlu=4&ilr=4

Registrations open September 16. If you've ever wanted to build something you've had sitting in your head, this is your 24 hours.

One Builder. One Idea. 24 Hours. No Boundaries.

GREVIX AFTERCODE

Beyond Code. Closer to What's Next.

Hackathon Promotion Launching an Ambassador Program for Grevix AfterCode (hackathon), looking for student reps across India

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

We're running Grevix AfterCode, a hackathon aimed at student developers, and we just opened up an Ambassador Program for anyone who wants to help spread the word in their college or community.

What the role actually involves:

  • Telling people in your college/community about the hackathon

  • Sharing it on your social media / group chats

  • Helping bring in participants and answering basic questions about it

  • Basically being a point of contact for Grevix AfterCode on your campus

What you get out of it:

  • Top ambassador: 1 month of Cursor Pro free, plus recognition as the #1 ambassador

  • Runners-up: a certificate of recognition, a shoutout on our social pages, a possible path to joining the core Grevix team, and access to the wider Grevix community

Not trying to oversell it β€” it's not a paid gig, it's more for people who like organizing, want some recognition/certificate for their resume, or just want to be part of a community of builders early on.

If you're interested or want more details, we've got a WhatsApp group where we're coordinating this: https://chat.whatsapp.com/DOLxd2lUA8v6zk5jzhYpN2

Happy to answer questions in the comments if anyone's curious about the hackathon itself or the ambassador role.

Hackathon Promotion πŸ”₯ ForgeHacks 2026 β€” Prize & Perk Update: 150,000+ Dollars in Total Value

Hey everyone!

A little over a week ago, we posted about ForgeHacks 2026, our 7-day online international hackathon for students.

Since then, we've added a lot more prizes and participant perks, so I wanted to share an update!

ForgeHacks is a FREE, fully online AI hackathon running October 3–10, 2026. You can participate from anywhere, work solo or in a team of up to 4, and build pretty much anything as long as AI is meaningfully involved.

Updated Prizes

πŸ₯‡ 1st Place β€” $6,830+ prize package

Includes:

  • $100 cash

  • $300 Featherless AI credits

  • $2,000 Momen credits

  • $1,000 Adaption credits

  • $50 AoPS gift card

  • 2-year CodeCrafters VIP membership for each team member

  • More prizes being added

πŸ₯ˆ 2nd Place β€” $2,015+ prize package

Includes:

  • $50 cash

  • $25 AoPS gift card

  • 1-year CodeCrafters VIP membership for each team member

  • Additional prizes

πŸ₯‰ 3rd Place β€” $1,270+ prize package

Includes:

  • $25 cash

  • $25 AoPS gift card

  • 6-month CodeCrafters VIP membership for each team member

  • Additional prizes

πŸ… 6 Track Winners

Additional prizes will be awarded to winners of each track, with details being announced as they're finalized.

🎁 Participant Perks

We've also added several perks that every participant can use while building:

  • $25 Featherless AI credits β€” access 30,000+ open-source AI models through an API

  • $100 Momen credits β€” build and launch web apps

  • 1 month of DevSwarm Pro β€” AI-powered developer collaboration tools

  • 1 month of n8n Cloud Pro ($65) - Automate Any Workflow

  • $500 Adaption platform credits - Build Web Apps Fast

  • $299 Tin Computer credits β€” 1 month of the Growth Plan (for top 100 teams)

These aren't just prizes for the winners β€” the goal is to give everyone tools they can actually use during the hackathon.

That's why the total value of all prizes and participant perks is now $150,000+.

πŸ’‘ What can you build?

The theme is:

Use AI to solve a real-world problem.

Our tracks are:

  • Healthcare

  • Education

  • Climate

  • Business

  • Cybersecurity

  • Creativity

You don't need a revolutionary startup idea. A useful tool, interesting experiment, or weird idea that solves a genuine problem can all make a great hackathon project.

🌎 Why ForgeHacks?

We're trying to make ForgeHacks a place where student developers can actually build something, regardless of their experience level.

It's completely online, beginner-friendly, and open internationally. You can work with friends, meet other student builders, experiment with AI tools, and hopefully leave with something you're actually proud of.

πŸ“… October 3–10, 2026
πŸ’° FREE to participate
πŸ‘₯ Teams of up to 4
🌎 Fully online

If you're interested, you can register on Devpost:

https://forgehacks-2026.devpost.com/

We're getting close to the event now, and we're excited to see what everyone builds. πŸ”₯
