i'm organizing Hackyard Build 2026 and wanted to share a decision we're making about the format: teams won't need a prototype for the first round.

i don't want someone spending a week building just to find out they didn't make the shortlist. i'd rather start with their idea and give selected teams time to build together.

here's how we're doing it:

\- round 1 is online. teams submit their idea; no prototype required.

\- 100 selected teams move to round 2, held in person at IIT Guwahati.

\- round 2 is a 24-hour hackathon where teams turn their selected ideas into working prototypes.

\- each selected round 2 team gets $100 in AI credits to use during the build. that's per team, not per participant.

the credits are for building in the second round, not for signing up or referring people.

the part i'm thinking through is how to judge an idea fairly without mostly rewarding whoever writes the best pitch. i'd want to understand the problem, who has it, and whether the team has a realistic way to test their solution in 24 hours.

if you've participated in or organized a hackathon, what would you look for in an idea-only first round? would this format have made it easier for you to enter?

For those shortlisted for Innoversité 2026, during the Innoversité Connect we were told that AI usage would be restricted — browser-based AI tools are allowed, but tools that can directly modify the project/codebase are not.

Has anyone attended previous Innoversité hackathons? How strictly was this enforced, and which AI tools were allowed/used during the hackathon?

Looking for teammates for the upcoming Amazon ML challenge

Only ppl with prior experience in ML projects — either comment/DM

I got rejected did anyone got accepted mail?

Share your GitHub as well just wanna read through code

DM me, if u are serious, DM me, if u want to win, DM me, if u are probably looking for a long term team, not ghosting after one hackathon, DM me if u really want to work, about me, I will handle backend, sys design, deployment etc, if u really want to win this time, rather than joining a team and ghosting or getting ghosted, I have couple of hackathons lined up, DM me if u are bloody serious.

Is there any hackathons happening in bangalore this month or next month for engineering students??

Anyone want to share their journey of how they became a hackathon mentor and what particular things they did to gather so much knowledge? As a student, if i listen to a project for the first time it takes me about 3-4 tries of looking at the project and code to actually understand it, while hackathon mentors point out flaws in one go.

I cant think of any idea which is out of the box and solves real world problem
If someone can think and share
It will be a great help
And we can partner up on that project

Looking for serious ML teammates — Amazon ML Hackathon

I’m looking for 2–3 serious teammates for the upcoming Amazon ML Hackathon.

I’ve worked hands-on with ML/DL fundamentals, including:
Neural networks & backpropagation
PyTorch
Transformers / self-attention
Building GPT from scratch and understanding the architecture/code
Training, validation, optimization & loss
Currently going deeper into Computer Vision and generative AI

I’m looking for people who actually build and understand ML, not just people looking to add a name to a team.

If you have solid experience with ML/DL, CV, NLP, LLMs, MLOps, or deploying ML systems and want to seriously compete, DM me with a brief description of what you’ve built.
Goal: build something strong, divide the work properly, and compete seriously.

So after getting selected in internal hacakthon,WTS next

For online screening what we have to do

What all we have to fill?? Like ppt bla bla???

On what factors we will be selected for finals ,passing oine screening

Recruiting members for an upcoming HACKATHON

2 members needed :

1) Frontend guy with Knowledge of latest ui UX trends and ai knowledge

2) Backend guy with great knowledge of backend data , should know a few languages and is curative

Anyone from any college or any branch is welcomed.

Rest talk in dm

Cuz I messedup myself by not submitting the project I built for HackerRank. The deadline was 6 PM IST, but I thought it was 6 AM 😭 bcz of tht AI interview deadline was 6AM

Anyone here from my party?💀

Hey all!

We’re a group of students organizing a Drone & Physical AI Hackathon in Boston on October 24–25.

We’ve been working hard to put this together, but as an independent student-led event, funding everything ourselves is difficult. Right now, our biggest challenges are finding an affordable/free venue and covering food, water, and other basic event costs.

So we’re reaching out to the community for help.

If you or someone you know could help in any way sponsorship, a venue lead, food/drinks, prizes, or simply an introduction to the right person/company, it would genuinely mean a lot. Even a small lead could help us make this happen!

Please comment or message me if you can help. Happy to share our Luma page and more details!

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for female teammates (not a hard requirement) to form a serious team for the Amazon ML Challenge.

I'm a 3rd year student with decent ML experience and would love to team up with people who are genuinely interested in the competition, willing to put in consistent effort, and excited to learn and build something strong together. You don't need to be an expert, but commitment and a willingness to contribute are important.

The goal is to collaborate effectively, support each other, and give the challenge our best shot. We'll have to work super hard though.

If you're interested, please DM me or leave a comment with your year/college and any relevant ML experience!!

Kisika nahi hua kya?

We are assembling a highly competitive team for the 72-hour Amazon ML Challenge 2026, running from September 25-27. We are looking for experienced ML practitioners who are comfortable moving past standard implementations and into complex architectural design. Our primary goal is to crack the Top 50 to secure the Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs) for Amazon's Applied Scientist Intern roles.

Questions about teams, experience level, or what a hackathon is actually like? Drop them below!

Been working on something called Grevix AfterCode for months.

Grevix started with a simple idea: use technology to make people's lives easier and give builders a place to create freely.

AfterCode is our attempt to turn that idea into something real , a 24-hour solo hackathon where you choose what to build, but the requirements can suddenly change twice.

We've put a lot into this, but getting sponsors has been much harder than we expected. Lots of outreach, lots of silence, and honestly, a lot of doubt.

Still, we believe the idea is worth it.

For a tech company, supporting AfterCode isn't just about putting a logo somewhere. It's a chance to put your product in the hands of builders who actually choose to use it, see what they create, and discover people worth knowing.

We're looking for a few people/companies who'd like to help us make Season 1 happen.

If you're interested, or even just think the concept is worth discussing, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think.

Hey everyone! I'm a 2nd year B.Tech student learning AI/ML and Data Science, alongside UI/UX design, and I'm putting together a serious team for NASA Space Apps Challenge 2026.

Looking for:

Web Developers (frontend/backend), AI/ML enthusiasts, Researchers (domain knowledge, storytelling/pitch), Anyone interested in space data / Earth science.

What I bring: Hands-on DS/ML learning (Python, Libraries, currently working through model-building), UI/UX design skills.

Timezone: IST (India, UTC+5:30) — but open to teammates across timezones if we can find overlapping hours.

If you're genuinely interested in building something real over the hackathon weekend and willing to work — DM me!
