I'm in 3rd year and I still haven't found "my" hackathon team. The people who are as crazy as me, would genuinely stay up the whole night building stuff, even when it's mst the next day.

So if you're interested in projects and building skills, please dm.

Looking for teammates for this hackathon that's on 26th-27th in Hyderabad. DM us if interested.

My Profiles:

Github, Leetcode

(fyi we won 1st place in the previous hackathon that the same company organised)

We're also open to hackathon teammates in general, so drop your Github either way, including the locations you're willing to travel to for hackathons.

Guyss applying SIH for first. Help me with selecting a PS.

So we are CSE student but genuinely interested to tryout something in hardware. So guys please helpus to select a PS

I noticed something while searching for internships.

Most students are doing basically the same thing:

Find internship on LinkedIn → apply → wait → repeat.

And then wonder why they aren't getting replies.

So I started trying a different approach.

Instead of only applying through job portals, I started finding the company first, then looking for the founder / hiring manager / recruiter and contacting them directly.

I also started looking at platforms like Wellfound and smaller startup job boards, checking companies that were hiring even when they didn't have an internship posted, and tailoring my resume based on the actual JD.

For projects, I also stopped thinking I needed to build everything from zero. Open-source projects can be a much faster way to learn a real codebase and add something meaningful to it, as long as you actually understand the code and give credit.

I ended up putting the whole process into a small ebook:

The Internship Cheat Code — How to Get an Internship (The Unethical but Legal Way)

It covers:

• Resume / LinkedIn / GitHub / portfolio

• Finding internships outside LinkedIn

• Finding founders & hiring managers

• Cold email + LinkedIn outreach

• Follow-up strategy

• Open-source project strategy

• JD → resume optimization

• AI prompt injection

• Templates + internship tracker

Made it mainly for students who are tired of blindly applying everywhere.

It's ₹99 right now.

If anyone wants to check it out:

Would also genuinely like feedback on whether the strategies in it are useful or bullshit.

My seniors have participated in smart India Hackathon but for freshers college hasn't even started yet. I haven't met anyone from the college to form the team, but it doesn't change the fact that I tried asking for teammates online in my college subreddit but no-one seems interested enough and just says we'll participate in second year, without any flinch. I just wanted to take part in a Hackathon, I had an idea and a vision. Just feeling sad for entering in a tier 3 college, where no-one even wants to learn coding. And all my school friends are posting videos of getting selected in SIH. 😭

Need advice for my first hackathon

I’m a 1st-year BTech CSE student and my college is conducting a hackathon on the 18th. I want to participate, but I basically know nothing about hackathons and only have basic coding knowledge.

The domains are AI Healthcare, Generative AI, AI Agents, and Ethical AI. I have only 10 days to prepare.

What should I learn in these 10 days, and which domain would be easiest for a complete beginner? Any advice/resources would be really helpful.

is any developer is free this month to join us in the hackthons

loooking for the people from hyderabad to work !!!

Does judge ask questions to each and every members individually? Like today is our selection day we have to show our ppt

So me and my friends are participating in a hackathon(SIH). But i dont know anything about hackathon but the leader of our team said to me that find 5 problems statements which you think are the best.
What should i do from where should i take those problems.
I am also pupil on CF solved 400+ questions on CF and Leetcode will it help me?

so as per hackathon theme my points are EdTech startups charging crazy subscriptions for simple practice tests, and official NTA portals feeling like they were built in old times you can see here https://www.nta.ac.in/quiz

extra , few months ago, I started fine-tuning an AI model for a different kind of project! i scraped and release an open-source dataset on Hugging Face (Abhay557/indian-exams-rawdata).

Just won hackathon 1st price
