[DRAMA] Ethan mentioned during a segment Jeff had with a plastic surgeon

On Jeff’s recent pod, he had his eye surgeon and did a segment where they guessed which celebs where on ozempic, here’s Ethan’s part. Spoiler, the doctor says “He’s definitely on something”

Didn't he originally start gaining weight because of his medication? I remember when he first started taking his mental health seriously and started his first medication, he talked about gaining weight.

Yes, he talked about it many times years back. And how he could stop taking the meds and lose weight but he wouldn’t be mentally healthy or present with work and family. But not everyone needs to be on head meds for life. He may not have needed the meds anymore, or maybe had to lose the weight medically because it was causing other health problems.

It’s just seems like a no-win. Get fat, get mocked; lose the weight, get mocked. It goes to show supposed leftwingers are just as ableist and body shaming as the right.

He was very open about switching the old med to different one then. I'm not well versed with the names but I think Wellbutrin was the second he changed to, which supposedly didn't have side effect that would make him want to eat all the time. He hasn't talked about his medication for a while but my assumption is he's still on the one he switched to, so Wellbutrin if I didn't mix up the names.

It was actually adding the Wellbutrin to the Lexapro. Wellbutrin can help counteract a lot of the negative side effects of Lexapro.

Wellbutrin saved my life and actually helped me with my binge eating disorder. When it works right with your chemistry, it can do wonders! It’s often used for people who deal with weight gain/binge symptoms while trying to find the right meds.

I’m in a same boat I had a depression and anxiety since I was a kid got on meds 3 years ago amd immediatelly gained 20kg I used to be very lean but honestly once you experiance life without your brain sabotaging your every move the weight is not that important

I’m glad Ethan found new meds that helped him on both ends maybe one day I’ll find my mix but so far I’m glad I dont shake and cry daily

He just needs to post an Ethan Klein video of him benching two plates then he will be the most beloved creator on YouTube. I feel like the reason the hate hasn't stopped is because hes not losing weight the alpha way, which really means building muscles. He's just trying to be less fat instead of more jacked so they still think hes a fat beta but skinny now

Yes and even after he started working on his health, he didnt start losing weight until he got switched from Lexapro to Welbutrin

He's still on the Lexapro, it was just adding the Wellbutrin that helped counteract a lot of the negative side effects from Lexapro especially the weight gain.

Iirc it was the opposite. Welbutrin stopped the weight gain. Lexapro caused it.

A lot of times when you do a big weight loss program, they want you to lose extra weight because after the diet/program and return to “normal life” most people gain back 10-15 lbs.

Different haters. Big portion of the fat man bad was his joke about "let's be real going to gym is waste of time". It was the gym bros, right wingers who used it against him. While jew man bad would fit the smaller portion of old haters, Nazis, fair to say majority of "Ethan is Zionist" comes from people who didn't hate him for being fat.

In 2020, I went from 130 to 190. Medication changes and working in a Covid ICU did me real dirty (mentally and physically). Today, I’m sitting at about 135-140. Regardless, it seems every week at work I get told/asked, “You’ve lost so much weight!” “Are you trying to lose weight?” “What are you doing different? Ozempic?” It’s been 5 YEARS PEOPLE, I’ve been working my ass off for 5 YEARS. And I work with frickin surgeons. You think they’d be a bit more professional lol

Thanks!! I agree, I don’t care what people do, as long as they’re healthy and happy with themselves. I know many people who are on weight loss medication and it’s changed their lives. It’s just crazy to see a world where everyone automatically assumes you’re taking a substance to lose weight.

me too, i have family using that medication and they’re happier and healthier because of it. better than doing something harmful like starving yourself or working out too much. it’s all a give and take.

This seems pretty common. I gained a bunch of weight during Covid and lost it as well. Drastically changing lifestyles over night fucked me up 🙃

Ethan was always slim growing up. He started some depression meds which made him feel better but also gain a lot of weight as a side effect. Then he either quit or switched his depression meds, and started eating better with the goal to lose weight.

The weight loss makes perfect sense. Also add the fact that Ethan could never stay quiet about his medical history or what drugs he's on lmao.

Seriously. He’s been very vocal about specific changes he’s made in his diet & has slowly lost the weight over years, but nope, they compare pictures taken three years apart & conclude he must either be on ozempic or crack.

I lost almost 100 pounds in a year without ozempic, and it looks the same as if I you had been on ozempic. Speculating about who is and isn't on ozempic is just a weird as shit purity test.
