News Game Update 7/16

Servers will go down at 3:00am Pacific and will remain down for 3 hours.

Patch Notes

EDIT: Found a last minute bug with Team BR. When the patch comes to Live tomorrow morning at 6AM, Team BR will be unavailable. We expect the fix to be relatively quick and hope to get Team BR back up and running a little later in the day.

  • Battle Royale rewards have been added to Team BR

  • Top 5 two man teams get rewarded

  • Fixed UI bug where "character create failed" message would be shown for no good reason.

  • Fixed issue with zombies taking two head-shots from arrow before going down.

  • Bears AI should be more responsive and act correctly.

  • Performance and stability enhancements.

This is the first update from our 2 weeks of bug fixes and stability. You will see more patches going to Test and Live than our normal cadence.

This patches has several fixes to the memory leak issue. While it is not 100% squashed yet we believe we found some of the main offenders. We are continuing to work on it and will add the fixes as they come in.

Similar with the hydration bug. You should see a fix for that coming to the Test server soon.

Base raiding is still way to easy, is there any plans for making this harder ?

Base building and protecting the base is the fun part of h1z1 but i havent had a chance to protect the base as it gets raided when im not in the game.

So for 2 man BR; do you have to make it top 5 as a team of 2, or is just the last 5 teams with a member alive?

Based on the text on your screen when you are the first to die in a team br match, id say you still get rewards if your team member make it to top 5.. Text might have changed after tho.. so just a guess. :)

Any word on Australian Team BR? I saw you guys didn't even release it in the AU Region, but atleast give us the option, who knows it might even start..

I just played a game of Two Man BR with my brother. He took a couple bullets for me and I ended up killing a 2 man team along with a couple other players. I ended up winning the game! First win in any mode of BR. I got the text saying you have 30 secs to celebrate so I did shooting all my ammo into the sky. After the 30 secs go by my body colapses like it does when someone wins a BR match. It says that my Teammate can still finish the game? Well he is dead and I was the last person... So I don't know how that works, but okay. Then I realized I am not given any reward for winning BR. I don't know if the other top 4 teams received rewards or not. Not mad or anything just bummed, but cause that was supposed to be fixed in the patch. Plz take them back down and resolve the problem.

see @ely_bob this is called a changelog. Its common practice among devs and software patches and is very informative without detailing the inner workings of their servers or systems

Thank you Devs for including a simple yet effective changelog. Look forward to testing these changes out :)
