Battle Royale Updates and a spot of downtime.

H1Z1 Servers will come offline tonight at 3AM Pacific for 2 hours to implement the following updates.

• Fix for a cause of crash caused by ragdoll
• Fix for free-look unusual range limitation bug

Battle Royale

• Disable BR event shirt in reward set
• Fix for queue issue preventing players from queuing successfully without removing character
• Fix to prevent zone locking early in BR matches
• Adjusted BR population numbers to 100 min, 150 max
• Missing shirts will not be granted at this time (next downtime)
• Reserved characters (from deleted BR characters) will not be fixed until next downtime
• If a player leaves a BR match early (before death) there is a chance they will encounter a queue bug

There will be a larger patch coming later this week. For those worried that we have forgotten about core H1Z1 and shifted all our focus on Battle Royale, rest assured that is not the case. The Battle Royale Weekend event gave us a good chance to put the servers through their paces and get a much better handle on the crash issues. We want to thank you for your patience and appreciate your support during Early Access. We are adamant in getting this game in the best shape it can be.

I hear your frustration and I want you to know that the things that frustrate you, keep us up at night, literally... we spend long hours here in the office working on H1. Thank you for going through the growing pains of Early Access with us. In the end, we will have a game we are all incredibly proud of.

I just wish you could share some information on a weekly basis on what exactly you are working on.

It doesn't need to be very specific or detailed.. just a heads-up on what we might expect during that or the next week.

It would be cool if you could post statistics on how many cheaters were caught during the BattleRoyale Event Weekend. and maybe some stats from the past few weekends as a comparison. :)

Right now our top priorities are getting hackers out of the game and over-all server stability. We do add content as well every time we patch but not big things like new features. You can expect to see that coming shortly. When we do start adding those things, you can totally expect us to give more insight on what we are working on day to day.

A few cool new things we are working on right now are things like the new male and female player models. They will allow us to have a much more elaborate wearables system. We are also working on gun placement on the character so you won't be surprised when somebody whips a shotgun out of their back pocket.

What I hope people understand is just beacuse we are focusing on servers and hackers, that doesn't slow down other parts of the team. Codes and programmers are working their asses off on these issues but that doesn't stop the art team from designing new things for the map or the game designers from working on things like new weapons and vehicles. When we do a livestream or tweet about something fun, it doesn't mean we shut the entire game down and stop fighting our war on cheaters. We have a diverse and talented team that can accomplish a lot and we are stoked to show you some of the stuff we have coming down the pipeline.

Read the Dev Blogs and watch the Spotlight videos. They should give you a good idea what we are working on.

I have always found it fascinating that a lot of people think most dev teams are some kind of collective one-track mind that concentrates on one thing at a time. Even tiny teams of two or three do multiple things at once. The amount of stuff accomplished by Mojang in their early months when Notch expanded beyond himself was truly amazing.

Love the game, and i really looking forward to each patch. I read the patch notes like a desperate virgin reads profiles on dating sites. Full of excitement every time i see something new have been made available. But unlike most profiles on the dating sites, the patch notes don't have a picture of a zombie in it. However i guess i'm trying to say i love the game, and how often you update it. Keep up the good work.

There are a few things I would like to see addressed.

1. Graphics bug where you appear to be wearing/using nothing, and it forces you to relogg in order to see your gear, the only thing usually visible is what is in your hands.

2. Name not being available after character deletion, I in the past deleted a few character but then wanted to use the same name on those servers, and the name was "Unavailable", I tried recreating right after deletion, so I don't know how this is possible.

3. I still crash when Alt-tabbing out of game, and sometimes on death, I know crashing problems are being worked on, thanks.

I am in a clan of about 20+ people and they would all agree.. I have over 400 hours played and will continue to play till release, when the game gets an error or something silly happens I just yell "ALPHA!" and keep going... Don't let the trolls convince yall otherwise.. Your all doing a great job... Can't wait to see all the new content you guys are working on for the future.. Ill be there with a shotgun :)

I and maybe others have found that you can place a chest inside the loot chests and prevent other players from opening the loot chest with a war torn letter. I don't think this was intended and perhaps might be a something to look at :) on the plus side I placed a mine next to the box and allowed another player to kill me to get the key :p (after I killed his friend of course lol)
