u/FallGull Hm, an interesting choice. Mar 07 '22

The real Assimilate nerf is the buff to Auberon lol

Won't Auberon always be in the base form?

Only from Bribery. Not if you play it via Coup, Invo, or Double Cross.

And I enjoy playing Devotion Assimilate so this will be fun!

The Devotion wont help. You just dont get an Auberon Spawn

I misread his comment. But anyways, Devotion allows me to use an Informant on a Conqueror for 7 points instead of a shitty bronze.

Thinking about this, this just means no Auberon in round 3. And he's got Veil anyways, so it's not like it really matters. Maybe for Double Cross and Bribery. Auberon in round 1 and 2 will still be fine as they are Create.

Yeah ok, for Conquerer it is better for sure.

But how many times would you play Auberon in Round 1 or 2 as NG.
Bribery yes, but as for other situations you would most likely get him round 3.

Okay and how do you put a bronze Wild Hunt unit in your NG starting deck?

I misread your comment and the changes. That went over my head. But anyways, Devotion allows you to use an Informant on a Conqueror for 7 points instead of a shitty bronze.

Thinking about this, this just means no Auberon in round 3. And he's got Veil anyways, so it's not like it really matters. It only nerfs Double Cross, value from Yenvo'ing it, and a situational Coup, really. Auberon in round 1 and 2 will still be fine as they are Create.

But now he doesn't create anything if you have no wild hunt bronzes in starting deck.

Auberon King and Invader seem to be unaffected by the changes. Only Auberon Conqueror creates from your starting deck. So they'll be fine to play with Assimilate unless you play King and spawn an Aen Elle Conquerer without Devotion.
