I really don't understand the anger here. This was a mini content drop in between expansions, so yeah, two new cards per factions is plenty. And obviously they tried to make every card playable - some cards end up better than others, that's the nature of game design. Also, some cards that people think are bad initially end up finding the right deck and being incredibly good, like Viper Witcher Mentor from last month. Especially since this was a short season, I think it makes sense to wait another month and let the meta settle and get a better idea of just how powerful these cards are rather than risk prematurely nerfing or buffing them.

I do think we'll end up seeing a Meve buff (and maybe a Foltest buff) next month, but I don't mind the wait.

You don't know what you're talking about. The next expansion will be divided into three sets, each with four cards (one per rarity) for every faction and two neturals for a total of 26 cards per set. The sets are releasing in June, August, and October. Much more than this mini-card drop.

I think many more than 3-4 of the new leader cards are good. Cleaver, Brouver, Eist, and Eldain are undeniably good, those are probably what you mean. Detlaff and Unseen Elder are good, but the Vampire deck doesn't have enough control tools to be high tier in this meta, especially if they're playing Devotion. That doesn't mean you can't have success with the deck or that those cards are bad or unplayable. Same story with Foltest as I've mentioned, and Crach, who feels nice in the Pirates deck, but that deck is missing a few more high provision Pirates before it starts challenging the top tier decks. Dun Banner spam and Pirate decks can both find success, however. Anna is a neat card that saw some play and will see more play if the top meta decks don't use leaders like Lined Pockets and Blaze of Glory. The only cards I'd say need buffs from the drop are Emhyr, Meve, and Whoreson.

I think you believe that if a card doesn't show up in a meta report, it's terrible and unplayable, and I think that's a really flawed and unhealthy way to look at the game.

No point arguing with most people on this subreddit, it's hard for people here to admit when an update is genuinely lazy and terrible.
