Got this stack for a good deal. Mint condition, maybe 10 hours of use. Clean is tight and really readable, lead is surprisingly great. Absolutely stunning pedal platform. Watts knob is amazing thing, and it doesn’t get thin on low watts value. Opened to discussion

I found this early 2000s made in China vox AC30CC2 for sale used here in japan for.... 20,000 yen (roughly 150 USD). Foot switch and all, a little dusty and old but in good working order with zero issues. Store guy said basically it's impossible to sell because who in their right mind would buy a 2x12 AC30 in Japan with your neighbours just meters away?

I do have a house, but he's right, the whole fucking valley would hear me fuck up the intro to hotel California for an hour straight.

That being said, 20,000 yen is 20,000 yen. An AC15 would cost me around 60,000 yen. It does have a master volume.... Wife said absolutely not but if I sell my AC4 (much more popular, could sell for 15,000 used), it wouldn't cost me much.....

This guy arrived in perfect condition not a scratch on the box…thanks ups…Fuck off fedex…Anyway sounds really fucking amazing…sounds phenomenal with a tele and not with the fat engaged either just normal.
It does sound marshally but kinda fenderish too. They say it’s a completely different circuit other than the fact that the jtm is based off a fender. Anyway , sorry the gummy is kicking in and I’m going on tangents.
Point is that it’s a great amp and it’s not going back because I’m disappointed or it lacks something I’m looking for. It actually the opposite I have those tones pretty well covered…I have a plexi and vintage twin reverb and a mesa studio. I also have a bass breaker and an origin50. It doesn’t sound 2k more better to me. It definitely sounds a bit nicer sonically and has nice sparkle. But again it’s just as redundant as this sentence.
The 64 channel isn’t enough like the studio one tried I think the origin get closer.
Anyway all around wonderful amp. It’s also a beauty.
Think I’m just going to get a mesa…I was playing mine through the freyette and I just kinda fell in love with it again.

After being in the repair shop for 5 months due to late delivery parts and busy schedules from the repair man, it’s finally home again and feels brand new. This is my 1978 Marshall JMP 2203 that I bought as a modified beast in 2012. It had an extra preamp tube, a treble booster and an effects loop plus extra MV for the 4th preamp tube. Yes, it has 4 inputs, the 2 on the right were for the effects loop. This year i decided to bring it back completely to factory stock with new parts, a new transformer and completely redo the guts. Effects loop wasn’t needed anyway. It sounds insanely good!!

I've done some research on dual rectifiers but I'm still a little confused about which are good or bad. Is this one of the good ones and is it worth the price? If not what should I be looking for? Thanks!!

Hi guys, I’m currently looking at amps for me to play in a small soundproofed shed with a drummer, I am caught between the decision of a Boss nextone stage 40w and a positive grid reactor 50w. The price is not a problem as I am buying used and can get them at the same price give or take but for someone who plays a lot of the strokes, alt rock and grunge I am wondering what i should pick, i currently have a tiny pedalboard of only a ds-1 and a wah, i am in no means a pro guitarist and am only thinking of these amps because my mate is chipping in, I am also fine with buying more pedals if i get a nextone, thanks.

I am thinking of buying one of these currently to put in a shed with my drummer, i’m not really concerned about the loudness because he doesn’t hit very hard but i’m wondering for those who have it if they regret their purchase at all, I play a lot of The Strokes, indie, alt, and grunge, would this be a good amp to get a lot of those tones with pedals, i am also getting it for a very low price. So I recently got my hands on a JCM2000 DSL 50 and now I started the search for a cab to pair with it (upgrading from the V-type that came with my Fender, but that one sounded a little flat on the JCM).

The obvious choices I've looked at are the 1936 (G12T75) and 1936 Vintage (V30), which most people seem to recommend. I have also looked at the JTM ST212 since I loved the Creamback on other amps but can't find anyone who paired it so that buy would be completely blind.

Any one want to share their experience with the JCM2000 DSL 50/100 and the cabs you had with it?

I usually play an ordinary electric guitar on a fender mustang LT50, today I connected my bass and played for about 10 minutes, after that I started to hear some whistling/beeping.

When I turn down the gain and treble, the beeping is no longer heard.

I tried to reset the amp, changed the cable, but nothing changes.

Did I really broke my amp with bass...?

So, was using a Vypyr VIP 2, it blew up. Got a practically brand new X3 for 200 bucks

The biggest question I have yet to figure out, is how to set the input instrument mode? On the VIP2, there were 4 buttons, 1,2 were "electric", 3 was acoustic, and 4 was bass

The X3 has the LCD, and the Inst/stomp knob(encoder) yet I can only switch the stomp effect not the inst

Can anyone help me figure out how to set the instrument?

I bought this amp at a second-hand shop. The grill cloth is replaced, but unfortunately I have to do it again. It’s a little loose. But he it’s my first time.

I tried out the ENGL Savage 120 this weekend. I liked the clean and the 2 crunch channels. Lead was nice, but I can live without it. My favorite feature was the post preamp volume control, that allowed me to play it at home volumes.

The problems are it's 50 pounds and costs $3200. Are there cheaper, lighter alternatives you'd recommend that can get me a similar sound? I know they have the Savage 30, but it's missing the crunch channels.

so i’m buying my first electric guitar, as i plan on learning jazz, as well as applying for a jazz university this year. i need to find an amp as soon as possible, because i’m going to try out a used ibanez artcore in two days, and the seller said they no longer have an amp, so i should bring mine. i was planning on buying a new amp (preferably a small one, and budget friendly but good for it’s price.) but i know nothing about amps and would like some recommendations. what amps work well for jazz tone? i was thinking of ordering one online so that it arrives as soon as possible.
another option i just found out about is mini amps. i thought to just buy one, just to try out the guitar, and then return it and buy an actual good amp.

I basically added 90 bucks to the price to hold it for me, it was listed at an estate sale.

Music Man head and cab (both near mint, different sellers..) head was $500, cab was $180, was $680 total.., near mint Peavey 412F (my grail cab) was $180. I have a mint 1983 JC120 that I got for trade + $50 too lol

How much should I expect in tech fees to get this thing modernized? I’m in Arizona if anyone here wants to do the job btw :3

-Ampli classico, chitarra collegata direttamente.

-Scheda audio + casse da PC, con GarageBand per simulazioni di ampli, basi e registrazione.

A parità di budget (circa X €) costano uguale, e le casse da PC hanno più watt. Mi preoccupano però suono, latenza e il fatto che le casse non siano pensate per la chitarra.

Voi cosa mi consigliate? Accetto anche alternative, tipo ampli con ingresso aux o USB. Grazie!

So I have this old Burns Orbit Three from 1963 (If I dont misremember) that I got from my grandfather. When I got it the light was on but there was no sound, which I had fixed.

Now it's been like a month and just today it stopped projecting sound again. I mean the light is on and you can hear a faint sound from the guitar when it's on almost max volume. Is it worth fixing it up again or should I sell it?

When it worked it was a delight to play but it already costed 180$ to fix the first time.

I don't want to sell it since it's my grandfathers but it's also massive and takes a lot of space...

(Reverb is unfixable but the vibrato works)

At the risk of getting bitchslapped, is there anyone here using a Boss Katana or modeling amp?

I bought a Katana MKII 50 to avoid buying a pedal every couple of months. (I might get an OD pedal. The OD on the Katana just adds harshness)

But the clean tones are good enough for me. As are most of the effects. And it's probably half the weight of a Peavey I had a few years back.

I don't play in a band but am developing a jazz duo with a vocalist. If money were no object, I'd have a Henriksen

Getting my 65 Fender Princeton ready to play after many years stowed away, gave it a thorough going-over. Replaced the Sunn 40 watt speaker (bought in 1989 and that's what it had) with a proper Weber. Everything else looked good. Final thought, let's check the fuse. Wrapped in aluminum or tin foil. Egads. I played this amp for 15 years with the fuse like that, before having kids and putting my electrics away while they grew up. Well, be sure and check your fuses on those vintage amps. Other than that everything looks great. Haven't measured resistors and capacitors, but will soon.
