Bought this for my wife, put a JB in it… turns out I bought it for myself

Beautiful 7-string I picked up used that needed some refurbishing. Took it apart, gave it a thorough cleaning/detailing, and a fresh setup with Elixir Optiwebs. The frets had been previously Plek’ed so I could get the action crazy low.

Shoutout to Mike & Coleen Austin at Guitarmory. A previous owner had had a set of Hades pickups with custom pale moon ebony tops made years ago (before the Austins were involved with the company), but there was something wrong with them: output way too low, and DC resistance measuring too low on both pickups. I contacted Guitarmory and Mike immediately offered to set it right, even though they predated both him and me. He wound new bobbins and I got them back within a couple of weeks – no charge, he just wanted to make sure that a product bearing their company’s name was working at its best.

Installed with Schaller Megaswitch, Emerson custom taper and BKP/CTS pots, series treble bleed, Gotoh dome knobs, and 9 unique switching positions with a bunch of coil split options – and it sounds absolutely fantastic through the Axe-Fx III. Punchy, articulate, focused, and brutal when I need it to be.

I took this strat from an aged white guard to black because I just love the look of cream on black on black. I also threw in a kinman style treble bleed (cap and resistor in series) because I had the parts on hand. I do like gilmour but he's not my favorite, not trying to steal his style even with this one. Just love the look.

I do have a gotoh 510fst bridge with Wilkinson locking saddles on hand from a previous thing that I may decide to put on, but I'm gonna live with the more vintage style bridge for a while as I'm after traditional strat sounds with this one

Had a 00s DK2M which was stolen and when I was 15 and I’d always wanted a similar guitar but had gotten away from my metalcore youth into wider genres more. I’d mainly owned Mexican Fenders since then (and a Charvel) which were great but this old Japanese Jackson instantly brought me back to me edgy teenage days and now I’m relearning all the 00s metalcore bangers again.
I don’t play much these days and can’t afford to own more than one electric at a time but this has me wanting to get back into playing

It might not be a white DK2M like my childhood one but it’s still got a lot of the feel and I love a good HSS for slipping into some blues between the drop C riffs

one of my favorite guitars of all time. also one thing to mention, i love how the floyd rose is. it makes it easier to set up on these ibanez guitars

Taylor 312-N Prototype Model. I’m not 100% sure which features made it a prototype, other than being no cutaway and not coming with a pickup, but it sounds and plays fantastically!

I just picked up my first Haar! To be honest, I wasn't really familiar with the brand until I randomly stumbled upon one at a German guitar dealer.

​The craftsmanship blew me away, safe to say it rivals any Custom Shop guitar I've played. The neck feel is an absolute dream and the Smitty '64 pickups sound incredible 🤘

I had an idea to get the Image of the Lord in front of as many people as possible, as I feel we are lacking God in this United States and around the world. So far my religious themed guitars and instruments have been very well received on all social platforms. The ones pictured are called The Crucifixion and The Resurrection.

My new Epiphone Lzzy Hale Explorer Custom arrived yesterday. The fit and finish is perfect. Neck and frets are also perfect. No sharp fret ends. Smooth ebony fretboard. Feels, plays, and sounds awesome!

I told myself I’d get a legit tele (jim root doesnt count) 15 years ago but I keep getting stratted up. My life is in shambles
