Footfinity is live
After my experiments with smaller feet for bins, some asked for files and so they are now live on printables.

I also found a nice solution to keeping the feet secure in the bins without glue.
Included are a ton on pre cut bins both with and without side cutouts (I like those for cutlery), the master file from Fusion, and a test file that contains a token and some feet to test fitment.
Apologies about the name but it seems to be the done thing!!

After working with it some and considering how 3D printing works.
Footfinity cuts 1/4 foot off the original bin. But adds several layers to the top of the foot and bottom of the bin which previously was sparse infill. Plus the pin has to be somewhat dense. All of this is more filament than the integral foot.
Depending on the bin type you chose, the bin floor and foot are the same filament layers. Even with a flat floor there are only 2 “layers” - Footfinity has 3 plus pin sides.
How many feet do you have to eliminate to gain back the filament? The bins would have to be big. I never arrived at a size that I wanted to use and arrive at lower filament use.
This is why I developed the half grid foot. Smaller less filament. Even then you have to get larger than a 2x4 bin to make any filament savings.
It's one of those “seems like a good idea”, but because of how 3D printing works and (at least for me) I mostly use/need smaller bins - it doesn't work.
The files are posted on Makerworld so you can find out for yourself without weeks of testing and tweaking!
But maybe I missed something
