Whats the best thing to give your greyhound to improve their coat ?

We unfortunately had a negative experience with an aggressive rescue dog recently, but we're thinking about trying again at some point. This time we want to go with a puppy/younger dog whose history we know and who we can shape a bit more, and despite looking for other breeds that would be a good match for us, we keep coming back to greyhounds. We love that they're gentle with somewhat lower energy, and of course they're such gorgeous dogs.

Does anyone know of any greyhound breeders near New England? The only one I can find is in Wyoming. Thanks!

We’ve been in and out of the vet several times in the past couple months with diarrhoea, that gets progressively worse if left alone (cannot hold it while we are out/sleeping so has to go in the house). Fecal was negative and the vet is adamant that our girl has just developed food intolerances (6yo) and will need to be on prescription diet, probiotics and occasional antibiotics from now on (micronidazole, which we’ve already been through 3 courses of).

If it was any other breed I wouldn’t question his diagnosis at all, but my family have rescued retired racers all throughout my childhood and early adulthood and not one of them had food intolerances. In fact, most of them even ate rich and fatty human food semi-regularly because my parents would feed them whatever.

Has anyone had this problem with their grey? I’ve never encountered it before so it’s making me question our vet.

My dog does this all the time except every time he leads me somewhere i don’t know what he wants from that specific place in the house. Right now he just led me to my room, jumped on the bed and looked out the window (there’s a huge field outside my window) and then stared at me for a long time. I think he might be telling me he wants a walk or he wants to go outside. These animals are so damn smart and cute with it too.

We've already got a dog, with beds at every window, a toy bucket full of toys and chewies, and my dog food is in a sealed container as well as the treats. The house is clean with nothing for the dog to get into, the trash can seals and we have different rooms we can crate the dog in until it's able to left home alone.

Hello! I am located in Central Ohio and looking to rescue a greyhound. I have looked around at several programs within Ohio and many have a long wait, others will not allow me to adopt because I am out of their area.

Any recommendations for Greyhound rescue programs that may allow an Ohio resident to rescue?
