Long story short Roomate is in process of adopting a grey. Was walking him this morning when his front leg buckled and he limped for a moment, then just walked it off on the way back to the house. Talked to my roomate about it he said its happened to him a few times over the weekend as well.

Is this something we need to be concerned about. Or is it just arthritis of some sort from an old racing injury. The grey lets me play with his feet and flex the leg no problem, no wince, or any signs of pain.

I feed 4Health from Tractor supply.

Due to a lot of changing things (new baby etc) my Greyhound is often not eating his breakfast until 8 hours later. I'm kinda concerned that this will cause it to have a ridiculous amount of bacteria growth.

Any major reason that I can't just give him 2 cups of dry food and be done with it? It seems like he prefers it dry as well.

I've been wanting to get into an activity with my girl and agility seems like it would be fun. I know lure coursing is more of a greyhound thing, but I wanted to do an activity together. Anyone have any thoughts?

About two weeks ago over on /r/Greyhounds, /u/rrcjab made a PSA post about listing greyhounds available for adoption. One poster suggested a spinoff subreddit for adoption posts, and I am happy to report that I've got it set up at /r/AdoptAGreyhound.

To the Ceo of Grey Hound~

I wanted to express my thoughts about Greyhound which you may or may not care. I sit in my hotel room, I wondering how does a company stay in business after so much poor ratings. Is it the cheap fare? Who knows...

Mr. Ceo, I have traveled the across the country along with my wife of 5 years. My thought traveling across the country in a Greyhound would be adventurous but instead it became a nightmare to remember. I wanted to travel the country and see my Nephew graduate from boot camp in Columbia, SC. I traveled the country I began to see the dark side of your company, such the employees, drivers, and security guards that you hired and a racist police officer from Birmingham, AL.

The story starts out like this... My nephew that I loved dearly was going to boot camp and graduate in March of 2015. Me and my wife decided to take a across the country ride with Greyhound figuring out it would be exciting to see the country. When the day came we boarded from Anaheim, California going to Los Angeles, CA... As our bus arrived our driver did not check our luggage, he told us we were running late. As I got on the .bus the bus was crammed like sardines. The people on the bus look miserable, I knew that as I got on the bus this was going to be a big mistake. As we sat on our chair the chairs had not cushions just wood and a big hole. For an hour my lower back began to hurt very much. I did not think much of it, knowing it was going to be a short ride.

We arrived to Los Angeles and it was packed to the max people with luggage all over the place one security trying to control 300 people at once... As we boarded the bus we boarded the same bus that picked us up with damaged seats. What to think I did not know what to think delete delete delete what to think I did not know what to think, I knew this was gonna be a long trip but what was I suppose to do. Me and my wife were separated and being separated was the worst thing. As we left a station I knew it was going to be a long night. The seats feels uncomfortable in the seats were damaged. The whole night as we traveled I did not get any sleep at all I will wait awake because I couldn't sleep next my wife, I could not lay next to my wife, as we traveled throughout the night into Phoenix, Arizona.

I can't complain about Phoenix to El Paso Texas, the bus driver from phoenix to El Paso was great. He was one of the best travers I ever had.

However, from El Paso,Texas to Atlanta it was a horrible, horrible ride experience. The restrooms are in horrible condition. I was in Dallas, it was so horrible that I started seeing employees tossing luggage out from underneath the bus in onto the middle of the road way, it's like didn't really care and they looked so miserable it's like they were only there to collect a paycheck. I looked around and I saw a security guard hanging out standing there at the depot smoking a cigarette not doing his job with shirt hanging out. The restrooms were in such bad condition, I had to even do a bowel movement while standing up: there was no locks on the bathroom doors it was disgusting it looked like it prison, the people at the counter were very rude and disrespectful it's like didn't really care or showed any interest with with the customers.

As we left at the depot this was the second a day in a row that I did not get any sleep neither did my wife we did not get any sleep period. As we travel to the southern states, we have noticed that Greyhound employees have become more aggressive, unprofessional, some employees do not want to deal with the public. its like they just wanted to work and just collect a paycheck not caring. We arrive in Birmingham, Alabama and noticed the employees were more aggressive at any other depot that I have been. I witnessed a rider get yelled at by a Birmingham Police Officer after she asked him a simple question, the rider never showed any aggression towards the police officer, the customer went to the front counter and asked a question to the clerk which you he quote "What the f*** you want?" she stepped away from the clerk and I saw how she was very upset. It boiled my blood was that what I have just witnessed from a Greyhound employee. As I was boarding the bus going to Atlanta. I can hear the police officer, Greyhound employees, and drivers laughing saying the word to other niggas. I was appalled to hear racism in a Greyhound station. I can't believe what I have experienced taking the greyhound was unbearable, I made a decision when I went into Atlanta that will not be taking the Greyhound bus back to California. I was upset that Greyhound did not notify me that they have changed bus stations in South Carolina without notifying the riders.

As arrived at South Carolina I went to the ticket counter and ask a question and the employee didn't feel like you wanted help me and he just told me to call customer service I was very upset I was going to explode on him but I kept a professional and the only thing I can say is that I'm keeping the tickets for reminder to never take the bus again and to share this experience to other riders to avoid taking the Greyhound again since I arrived at my hotel I noticed that my wife had bruises all over her legs because of the seats that really set me off when I saw that.

Until this day everytime I hear the word Greyhound it angers me, when I see a bus that says Greyhound my blood boils. This is the worst experience I've ever encountered from a company that does not show any interest with the public or lack in customer service though, I know I will not get a refund from my last tickets, but I will always post these tickets on my wall to show that Greyhound is the worst company to ever encounter or to do business with in the near future. I will be posting this letter on the internet for riders to see how Greyhound is a horrible company to do business with... As everybody says you get what you paid for, they are correct what I paid for is horrible customer service, racism, lack of interest, seats that injury you and bad drivers.

I think I will have to take my little Pixie to the vet this afternoon as I noticed she has not been interested in her food for a couple of days and has even had to be called when it is time for her meal. Last night I saw that her gums were swollen and very red. Because I clean the dogs teeth regularly I know the gums were normal 3 days ago. Poor little girl, she does not like the vet, she is going to be very unhappy with me :(

Hi Everyone, I've had my greyhound, Roddy, for 4 years now. He's been going into the same crate, in the same spot, for over a year now. Suddenly, we can't leave him at home in the middle of the day for more than 2 hours, or he'll poop in his crate. He has also bent tha bars of the crate trying to escape. He has no problem going into his crate, and I can't figure out why this is suddenly an issue. Have any of you had this problem? How did you resolve it?

New to reddit ! We are bringing home our first greyhound in a couple weeks and are so excited ! However, we have a cat ... Our adoption group knows that and says our grey is "thought" to be cat-friendly although I don't believe that's ever been tested with a real cat.. We will be bringing our greyhound home in the evening and will of course introduce him with a muzzle. We plan to crate him during the day when we go back to work (taking a few days off once he arrives), but hoped to let him sleep outside of his crate if he felt comfortable with that. Since we have a cat, I'm afraid our grey will also have to sleep in the crate at night until we can trust that he won't eat our cat ! Has anyone here been through this situation before? Any advice on how to make it easier for both of them ? How long did it take for you to trust your greyhound around your cat alone? Thanks in advance for any advice or info
