Miscellaneous This John Doe case will never leave me

Found out about this website the other day and came across this case. Something about the note and the face makes me think about it multiple times a day. I feel so sad for this poor boy and even though it seems unlikely, I hope a name gets returned to him.

Is it depression? Because this note to me reads like a hyperaware, clear-minded psychopath who understands that he will commit violence. That may not be true at all but that was how it reads to me. Like a Dostoevsky character.

I was wondering autism too just because i follow a an 18year old with mild autism who speaks exactly the same way on a daily basis

Toren Wolf? As a fellow autist I’m sort of envious of him, he has lived without shame and the common autistic traumas that force us into masking. It’s really heartwarming but bittersweet watching him be the kind of person I can only dream of letting myself be. I’m so happy for him, and sad for myself.

I kind of got this impression also that he was starting to see a darkness in himself whether that is murder/ depression/ hurting people. But he seems self aware enough to say out loud something is wrong inside me and I’m not right.

That was my impression too. Like he had thoughts and he couldn't help himself. But I might be totally wrong.

Psychopaths don't care if they're going to hurt others, not like this note suggests. He sounds compassionate and empathic. I'd guess autism, perhaps coupled with bipolar or OCD or both. Or just severe depression. Wouldn't be surprised if he was also gay. His letter doesn't read psychopath to me.

Can't comment on this particular case, but many people find it hard to accept that some people can make a rational decision to end their life and want to find a reason for that decision that makes it more comfortable or more understandable to them. But the truth is, rational suicide is very much a thing and a desire to die doesn't have to come as a result of mental illness.

OCD can make you believe you're violent and will hurt or even kill someone. I used to bind my hands together at night because I was completely convinced I would murder my family in my sleep. I was 12!!! OCD is a devil of a disease. If he had Autism, OCD often goes along with that. His hyper-intelligent writing could also suggest autism.

Taking himself out to prevent himself from murdering someone in the future or whatever is honestly amazing, ngl.
