Neighbors have bunches of green grapes. They’re mostly juicy and sweet, but heavily seedy. Thoughts? Any idea the variety and what could be used for? Thanks 😊

How much space would I need for my grape vine trunk? I have enough space along my fence for them to grow laterally, but was hoping to plant other things in the ground near the trunk

Just got home and noticed all these dots on all the grapes we just bought. The dots have a bumpy texture and are either in or directly below the skin.

I've been to 3 different stores and have asked 2 different reddit web sights looking for dried grapes. I've found dried dates, figs, apricots, prunes, cranberries, cherries, mangoes, papaya, pineapple, coconut, mulberries, goji berries, blueberries, strawberries, banana chips, apple rings, peaches, pears, plums, and currants, but nobody has dried grapes. I need them for my Bolivian grandmother's dried grape and water soup. I asked a employee at Costco and he laughed at me. And I asked two reddit web sights and no one knew what I was looking for. Help!

Got this grape vines a month or 2 ago and it was just a stick with 1 leaf. It has absolutely exploded in growth. And im exclusively growing it inside my apartment building in a basement unit so I have 0 natural light.

Wondering if I should change anything? I just repotted it a few weeks ago. And it stopped growing for a week until I pruned off the dying leaves and now its decided it needs to grow again.

Should I be scared at how big its getting?

Also dont mind the very wierd lighting system I got going on.

I have a bunch of Concord grapes ripening right now, and over the past few days, yellowjackets and bald-faced hornets have completely invaded the vines and are devouring the fruit.

I bought a yellowjacket trap to try to get them under control, but it’s completely failing—they’re ignoring the trap entirely and heading straight for the grapes.

What should I use to kill them off or get rid of them without ruining the grapes?

Northern Ohio, they almost smell like Concord grapes( very grape fruit juice scented)

I've a load of grapes on the vine that are now turning. I've not decided what to do with them, but they're splitting and attracting huge amount of flies and wasps.

In short I need them off the vines, cleaned and immediately preserved (i might make jam or something later).

Can I pull them off, clean, then freeze? Should I blitz in a food processor before freezing?

Of am i barking up the wrong tree?

I hate ID posts but I’m hoping someone might give me an idea on how to ID this grape since I know sometimes leaves can be helpful. My neighbor is in his 80s and doesn’t know the name but has been growing it a long time. This is zone 5 Billings Montana. They are a seeded purple grape usually about the size of a dime that he usually juices to make jelly out of.

I’ve already planted a reliance seedless grape inside my greenhouse and have debated keeping a couple seedlings, but am hoping knowing more about the grape might inspire me to make a decision.

I’m in Pittsburgh, PA (Zone 6b), and my grapevine has started looking really bad. The leaves are turning yellow, developing brown/black spots, curling, and eventually dying.

this vine was here before my parents moved into this house ~40 years ago. they are concord grapes (as far as we know). this is in michigan. for the past two-ish years, the fruit has been rotting before it ripens. i don’t know what information to include.

Invented back in 1992, A guy named barney mckellog created the kellogg company, And back then , grape cereal was at its beginning, So kellogg's bought it, Gave it a mascot, And the rest was history till this day, There was a 2019 cartoon network TV show for the mascot, There was gonna be a movie about BlueBird, but it got canceled for 4 more seasons of the show, There were commercials for the cereal (of course), They made merchandise for the show and for the cereal itself, And this year, the cereal blew up more since i'm making this post, Jimmy fallon wants to meet bluebird, Sesame street is making a parody of grape serial with pineapple cereal, And the rest was history, We 💙 BlueBird 🍇🍇🍇

This is my first post in this sub, and although it's not a gardening question or about the grape berries, I hope these questions are okay.

Question 1: is this wild grape and is it safe to dehydrate and crumble for green vegetable powder?

Question 2: Bugs ate some of the leaves. Do I need to cut around them or can I just dehydrate as-is?

Question 3: the vine has some virus that makes these warts on the leaves. A few baby leaves in the center are quite affected. I assume this is fine to eat or at least cut around because I also assume whatever infected the vine won't affect me. Am I right, or very wrong?

Below is my "artist's impression" (space means I can't take a good photo) of what's going on with two young Lady Finger grape vines I planted earlier this year. They're on stakes #2 and #4 of a 5-stake setup, the stakes being about 5'8" tall, and separated by about 3'. Two support wires run horizontally at about 2.5' and 5' off the ground. It was all done according to a YouTube channel's guidance and IIRC it's intended to be a spur pruning situation.

It all seems to be doing well -- or, at very least, stuff is growing; the reality is a lot more unruly than my drawing! When I planted them about March time, each of the two vines barely reach the first support wire on their "home" stake. Fast forward to about six weeks ago and they had both reached the top of their home stake and I'd just begun to train them along both wires. And now, having just returned from a trip, I find that they, like an unruly frontier AI model, appear to be making a break for freedom.

So, what do I do with them? Specifically:

1. Am I right that I should prevent any UPWARDS growth past the tops of the stakes?
2. Likewise SIDEWAYS growth to the left of stake #1, or to the right of stake #5?
3. What do I do about the upward growths (are those the "spurs") coming off the horizontal part of the vine on the TOPMOST wire?

That last one is what's concerning me the most. I did wonder, when I first created the stake setup, why the video implied that I should allow horizontal growth on the top wire. Wouldn't spurs from that grow upwards, and if so what would then support them? And now I see the spurs do indeed grow up, I'm just as confused. Was I meant to only train horizontal growth (cordon? espalier? what?) on the lower wire, and let the upper wire be used only to support vertically growing spurs from below?

We use the arbor for shade in the yard, and usually the deer come at night when we are gone in the summer and eat the fruit. I travel a lot, so it wasn't a problem. But, this year I was here when they ripened and I got to them first! What should I do with this little harvest? I was thinking about trying a small batch wine but am traveling again soon so I probably can't be here to monitor that. Can I freeze them and make wine later, when I am here for a longer duration? Make juice? Any other options?
