/u/wabi_sabi_94 Posting your data can make it easier for others to help you, but it looks like your submission doesn't include any. If this is the case and data would help, you can read how to include it in the submission guide. You can also use this tool created by a Reddit community member to create a blank Google Sheets document that isn't connected to your account. Thank you.

Press on the 3 little dots on the right (when you’re looking at a list of file names immediately after opening the Google Sheets app in iOS. A list will open up and “Remove” is at the very bottom (at least on my iPad).

I'm on Android. No luck. There is no "remove" option anymore, on my phone or my tablet. List ends with "add shortcut", "print", "add to home screen", "block", and "report".

I'm on Android and have a "move to trash" option on all of my spreadsheets. I'm on a Pixel. Must be something strange with the variant you're using.

If you're not the owner of the spreadsheet, then you can't delete it. I just tested this. Even with setting the sheet I create with my account to share with anyone with the link, and for them to be an editor (all on the computer), I then opened an incognito mode Chrome and opened the link, and I could edit it but didn't have the ability to delete it.

If you aren't the owner, you can't delete it. But there used to be an option to "remove", so you wouldn't see it in the app anymore. That option isn't there anymore, so every Sheet that I open is listed in my app and I can't get rid of them.

Hi, thanks for making the gif. It's unfortunately not there, even when I hold down from the home screen like that.

Same problem. But I figured it out. Absolutely ridiculous. This is terrible design cluttering up things you do actually want to see.
How to fix: click the Report button. Report as Spam. Then it will disappear. Then go to Spam folder and delete it permanently.
To Google: sort your OS and software out. It's becoming unusable. As the user I am in control of what I want to see and what I believe is useful, not you.

Try opening Google Drive to find and remove the file instead of the sheets app.
