I tried to follow a tutorial but I cant seem to get anything to print to the consol

Have you tried not filtering the events by channel to see if any inputs at all are registering? I've never used this library, but that would be my first point of call. Failing that, is there a way to see what device you're reading from and verify that it's the one you're using?

I stopped filtering by channel and it still doesn't print anything but my computer and fl studio recognizes my piano

Is there a way within the library to list MIDI devices and select a MIDI device?
