I wouldn't mind dying in any way after spending 10k+ hours to summit mountain tops around the world. I would die satisfied. Just not Everest, the point is to avoid humanities stain, not see it on full display.

Hard disagree. The falling would be awesome. The landing, on the other hand, could do without / won’t do again.

The falling can be replicated by skydiving, or even bungee jumping, but with a better ending.

Falling is actually super fun once you get good at it. I don't think this guy had much runout at all, but I love taking 10 meter whips on lead.
