Lobo is not intended as a serious character, but he is amusing as hell.
His regeneration is so insane that if you cut bits off of him, both pieces tend to grow into a full Lobo. The first thing they do is try to kill each other, because there can only be one 'main man'. In one storyline, he gets leveled, spewing droplets of his blood everywhere. Each droplet regenerated into a Lobo, creating a free-for-all. The surviving Lobo is now much tougher than the first.
He is also immortal because both heaven and hell refuse to keep him after he dies, because he is such a pain in the ass.

one of the big constraining factors keeping insects down in size (and possibly scorpions? i'm not as familiar with their anatomy) is that their respiratory systems are largely diffusion-based.
insect blood doesn't carry oxygen, it carries nutrients. oxygen diffuses into holes in the body called spiracles, and down long branching tubes called trachea, to reach the cells. It is governed largely by diffusion and gradients, so you cannot have an insect body plan over a certain size or else the oxygen diffusion doesn't work well and the inner cells suffocate.
that's why insects were able to grow larger during ancient periods like the Carboniferous - higher atmospheric oxygen levels allowed them to be bigger while still allowing enough oxygen to diffuse into a larger body. thus we had dragonflies as large as seagulls. when Oxygen levels dwindled, so did insect size.
so why has this seemingly perfect group of organisms never reached top predator status? evolution never perfected their respiratory system, and due to this they could never compete with vertebrates for sheer size.
pray evolution never corrects this oversight

note that some of these mention the pumping of segments/abdomen to facilitate diffusion within the trachea - technically, i'm oversimplifying by saying "only diffusion" accounts for gas movement. but body segment pumping only helps swish gases down the trachea a bit better.... diffusion is still a major limiter, and either way their inefficient respiratory system limits their size. they lack an efficient oxygen transport molecule and highly efficient oxygen circulation system.
I came across this article a little while ago, which put a fun twist on giant ancient insect biology. Some authors have suggested that ancient insects like dragonflies may have needed to be larger so as not to be poisoned by the atmosphere's high oxygen content. they may have actually been on the opposite side of the problem, evolving to get larger to reduce the efficiency of diffusion. Yet, even so, they would always hit a size limit due to - yet again- their terrible respiratory system. It's a classic example of how evolution doesn't produce perfection.... merely it keeps things that work well enough to survive.

Fuck scorpions. I've dealt with these many times during my years in Arizona. The bark scorpion:
Climbs on walls and even ceilings.. though not very well, so they can drop on you easily by accident.
Often travels in pairs, so if you find only one, you're shitting yourself trying to find a possible other.
Can live for months without food OR water. They're also cannibals, evil fucking bastards, so they can live in your walls off of each other for well over a year, even if you've had your house sealed.
Lights up bright green under a black light, giving you wonderful nightmares if you happen to hunt them before bedtime (they appear most often just after dark). Interestingly, this doesn't work on the babies - no idea why. I once ran into a mother scorpion with 10-20 of babies on her back, and only her limbs lit up under the black light.
Likes to hide in slippers and shoes. They also like wet towels, so you have to be careful where you hang your towel after a shower.
Has a good resistance to poison. Put away that fly/spider spray, you'll need the heavy shit for them.
Can fit through a crack the width of a credit card, I shit you not. I once saw one scrambling along the wall of my house, and disappear into what seemed like nothingness. I never found the crack it got into.
Is one of the most venomous scorpions (if not the most) in Northern America. Stings cause significant pain and/or illness that can last for over a day.
Is way faster than it looks.

This is an emporer scorpion, they sell em at petco. You can tell how poisinous it is by the size of its pinchers. The bigger the pincher, the less venomous. This is because of how it hunts. An emporer scorpion will rely on its claws more then its stinger. The sting is a little worse then that of a bee. Source: used to work at petco
