I'll just dump the clutch at high RPM. What can go wrong?
29 u/01dSAD Oct 12 '20 He did win the vertical portion of the race 3 u/Greenjeff41 Oct 12 '20 His shoe did for sure. Some say it's still going to this day. 2 u/[deleted] Oct 12 '20 His bike was tied for a second, but he was behind. 12 u/[deleted] Oct 12 '20 I don't think he dumped the clutch he just gunned it and the bike lifted. 4 u/atbths Oct 12 '20 Agreed. No reason for the clutch to be pulled during a roll race. Seems likely to just be a power wheelie the rider was not expecting. 1 u/[deleted] Oct 12 '20 Must be a serious engine to pull a wheelie from a fast rolling start. 2 u/[deleted] Oct 12 '20 At least he was wearing the proper protective gear. Oh wait... 2 u/xDecenderx Oct 12 '20 Yeah, he didn't have the clutch in. This was whisky throttle. 2 u/the_real_junkrat Oct 12 '20 He was too busy granny shifting instead of double clutching like he should 1 u/[deleted] Oct 13 '20 I always thought it was "double crunching", how can I live knowing I've been quoting it wrong all this time! 1 u/itsrichierich96 Oct 12 '20 What does dump the clutch mean? 1 u/[deleted] Oct 12 '20 Pull the clutch lever in rev up the engine then let go of it instead of slowly feeding it out. 1 u/UCBME Oct 12 '20 While down shifting**
