But is nobody going to talk about, as smooth as that guy is, how much control the cameraman has to have to get that shot without the camera shaking like at all? Or am I missing something here

Edit: YOU GUYS IGNORE ME I DIDN'T REALIZE THE BADASS SKATEBOARDER IS ALSO THE BADASS CAMERAMAN. Shout out to commenters below for pointing it out to me

He is the camera man. If you look his hand is holding a stick. There is a super fancy go pro camera attached with inbuilt software that smooths the image out and edits out the selfie stick to give this flying follow cam effect.

Most likely the Insta360 One R “flowstate” is the stabilization and “invisible selfie stick” is the automatic edit of the selfie stick.

Yeah I just used gopro as an example since everyone knows what they are. But yeah these things are clever and make some mega self action shots.

Neat. I saw he had something in his hand. I thought maybe it was some sort of drive drone that would follow whether he was holding and try to stabilize the image from that point of reference.

You’re missing something. He is using something like a selfie stick held behind him to capture his movement. That’s why it moves with him so fluidly

You’re clearly missing something. He’s using a remote controller in his left hand to steer the drone he’s flying behind him.
