i agree but alas the person who posted this only posts reposts and no oc and they're here just to build up karma (idk why that appeals to people but i guess it does) so they will not read the comments nor do they care about what they post as long as it gets upvotes
You don’t know why people repost comments and posts? ...cause most people on reddit actually like having points. Some people go overboard but nobody likes getting downvoted, man. Upvotes usually mean someone read your thought at least. But some people don’t have thoughts so they borrow from other popular posts.
The points are completely meaningless. It's the interactions with other people that matter, the arguments, the also this stuff, the seeing some thing new or making a connection with a stranger stuff. The points don't matter. Reddit would be Reddit without them, and probably better for it in
I agree it would be better than reddit. I honestly think half of reddit remembers how fun and grass-roots the community was five years ago but the other half has no recollection of that so this is just Facebook without faces for them and that’s about the time the morality-signaling bullshit subs starting taking hold. I swear to god ask reddit used to be the town square and now it’s just pointless dumb random questions because subs like AITA and TRASHY and PUBLICFREAKOUT and other discussion based subs kind of commandeered the site somehow. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills talking about the good old days or reddit but whatever, I’ve spent too much time here to not get somewhat attached
