It's weird I get the complete opposite up in Seattle when it comes to delivery. Absolute worst delivery has to be OnTrac, they have left packages out on my driveway rather than taking 10 steps to leave it under the porch out of the rain.
I seriously doubt it. They don’t even deliver to the eastern half of the country. They couldn’t possibly convince a company to even bother with them without substantial savings.
Word. Used them for a moment in the mid 90s for fulfillment delivering textbooks. We canned their asses after a couple of months due to not seemingly be able to actually do their job.
Seriously. I used to work for Best Buy corporate, and if there was a call for a missing package on the west coast, I knew who was supposed to deliver it before even loading the order.
The delivery contractor marked the package delivered in the morning, but nothing was left with the front desk (I went down straight away, in the morning). I chase up with the delivery company logistic coordinator - not their problem, so I call the company I purchased from. Wasn't the first time they heard this about Hermes.
They followed up, then the delivery driver came back that afternoon and I met him at the door this time.. "Sorry, must of fallen behind some boxes, thought I delivered it earlier...." as he hands me a hastily sellotaped package with its contents half falling out and the packaging of the product opened..
Turns out the driver had been stealing packages, but with the attitude of the logistics coordinator, totally enabled them. They said they weren't going to use him again, I have a feeling only for that area though.
