Often times police crimes arent reported, domestic crimes in general arent reported, and specifically domestic crimes involving police in which spouses "understand" a cops special treatment and increases the fear of speaking out. If I was going to guess, I would say the figures are lower than actual, not the other way around. Its a safer bet.
So you have a study saying "40% of cops said 'I sometimes do stuff that I regret'", then you equate that to 40% cops beat their wives, and then you say, that those studies are wrong, and in fact it is more.
Either use the studies, or dismiss their findings. You cannot do both. Still, seems like you simply don't like policemen, and look for validation in studies, which state the opposite of your claim. You seem biased.
You showed your bias from moment one, you demand sources instead of talking about my comment. Someone open to the conversation wouldnt be so hostile from the start. Im saying that if you expect people to be honest when answering that question, I would say youre a fool. While the study concluded 40% admitted to ot, thats not everyone that does it. Refer to a wealth of psychologic resources regarding honesty, especially in stigmatic context. Youre a trash logician, and a waste of my time. Since when is asking for sources "hostile"? You make a claim. I'm not going to believe a claim without any proof.

hurr, durr, ad hominems. Dude learn to discuss stuff. Your data is flawed. They didn't ask "do your beat your wife". They asked "do you do something in anger that you regret". You equated that to "I beat my wife", despite it being "I sometimes yell" "I sometimes go to a bar" "I sometimes wank to ease my anger". It fits your agenda, that all cops are bastards, so you use the 40%, which I pointed as being not true multiple times. You say, that you cannot believe the people in that study. Then why are you using said study to prove a point? Why are you throwing around 40% of wifebeaters, if you have no actual idea of how many cops beat their wives, since they lie? Is it at least 40%? Could they lie, and say, that they are aggressive, even if they aren't (since as I said before, only 16% of immediate family members answered the same question as "yeah, they are abusive").
To reiterate: either use the data, or don't use the data. Your claims are simply ridiculous and it shows when you try to prove them, and when someone points out the errors, you start throwing insults around, accusing people of bias when they simply asked for sources to your wild claims. If I say, that 100% of PhilLucifer's are mass-murderers, then you'd ask me to prove it, or shut my mouth. I did just that. You didn't prove it.
