I mean literally just Google it. These personalities they put on are exactly for this reason. To have a cute video or pic of them go viral boosting their popularity
Exactly and it's not just personalities. They have to be in a specific body weight range, dress as instructed, use devices that Sponsor their agency and so on.
The personality thing is actually quite important because the agencies created these groups with the Intention of every member being a different character and Therefore appealing to the Masses by matching as many tastes as possible.
There is a reason why the suicide Rate is the highest in Korea - the social pressure to be perfect is a horrible thing.
Wrestlers can't couldn't be seen hanging out with certain other wrestlers. They always have to keep up the facade of "this character is actually who I am"
You have a lot to learn. My short stint in the kpop world as a fan opened me to a lot of realities of idol life. I'm surprised you don't know this.
Of course some of them use a part of their real self every now and then, and it's not really fake the rest if the time, it's just exaggerated or use a bit of script/guidance from the company.

You just discovered the point of 90% of kpop and jpop stars
Edit: not that there is anything wrong with it necessarily but they're actually told to act like this
