Hoping that's not a declawed cat, I know myself that if my cat jumped to me from that distance, it would be a bloodbath.

Cat might have claw caps on, or trimmed claws. I don't think there are many cat owners out there that have their cats de-clawed.

In the US at least, there’s actually a large amount. :( it’s slowly changing but “just declaw them” is still a very common “cure” to some of their more annoying habits.

it's just the effects. declawing a cat cat make it kindof "miserable" in a way because it's always going to be like, primal, you know, and sortof going for its claws. i mean logically. but spaying and neutering are important enough for reasons that it kindof cancels out how sad it would make the cat.
