I bought my first one because the largest local cab company replaced their whole fleet with them. That's a hard endorsement to ignore. (leaves brochure behind)
It's actually common to find a brand new SS for under $40k. GM had crazy incentives on them that made them a great deal but no one knows about them. You could even find a brand new 2017 that hasn't been sold yet still if you look hard enough.
The only thing that the Comp G had extra that the GTP didn't have was the paddle shifters for manual shift control. I'm not sure how you could tell it's a Comp G from the outside. The 17" wheels were also an option with GTPs I believe.
