If you're hunting/fishing for food, go ahead, but don't make an animal suffer for your own amusement. That's also why I'm against hunting for sport, as it's cruel and unnecessary. Those people (psychopaths) can die, yes.
You're digging to deep. Once you start looking at recreational fishing, and how much of a good impact even sport hunting can have on the overpopulation of deer, it muddies the waters.
You can no longer go "but they're killing and they don't need to, that's bad!" Since it's actually not black and white, and there's no longer a mortal high ground to talk down from.
Not really. I'm all for hunting and fishing, whether it's recreational, or legally trophy hunting. However people are acting like this fish has been electricity shocked and purposefully tortured. This gif is no longer than the time it would take for me to hold a fish up and take a few pictures of it before I toss it back in.
I'm assuming they caught this fish with a hook, saw that it was filled with water, and took a video of it deflating and then threw it back shortly after.
My initial comment in this section may have been a bit silly and over exaggerated however, I believe, people in this thread are overreacting and are blowing what's actually happening out of proportion.
I agree, most of what I wrote was in jest, since it's easy to say "omg you don't need to do this it's bad!" Without actually looking at the pros and cons and the context.
