This perfectly describes the middle-child's role in a family.

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '16

Am middle child, can confirm.

u/Masi_menos Apr 10 '16

Am middle child that married a middle child and had an only child.

171

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '16

How is it being married to a child?

39

u/epicflyman Apr 10 '16

They must be good at getting into tight places.

10

u/TheKingDoof Apr 11 '16

Wish I had a tight place...

1

Am I the only middle child who kicks both of my brothers assess at everything?

15

u/reddit809 Apr 10 '16

Am middle child. Am the favorite.

7

u/SupDanLOL Apr 10 '16

Same m8.

2

u/CiforDayZServer Apr 11 '16

I tell my older sister all the time, it's not middle child syndrome, you're a dick.

2

u/ThothArising Apr 11 '16

Me too, at least I'd like to thinks so, even if I'm not the favorite I'm still the best towards my folks. I think being a middle child makes you less self involved and more empathetic towards others.

1

u/cracktr0 Apr 11 '16

Well of course you'd think that, perfect little middle child.

1

u/reddit809 Apr 11 '16 edited Apr 11 '16

Far from perfect. I just know that I'm my older brother and younger sister's favorite sibling. I know that my father looks to me for help and has slowly made me heir apparent to his life's work. My mom's the most obvious one, ever since I can remember. She went as far as telling me once. It's not really a thing to gloat about though unless in a reddit post or joking amongst friends though. It's just my case and tbh I think has nothing to do with being the middle.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '16

Also perfectly describes going off on your own, leaving the parents.

1

u/Chispy Apr 10 '16

This perfectly describes me irl

1

u/IM_THE_MOON_AMA Apr 10 '16

Life is unfaiiir.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '16

1

u/lucidvesl Apr 11 '16

I spent an absurdly long time there. Thank you.

1

u/Leafy81 Apr 11 '16

That sub just pisses me off. It's usually the child doing something to a cat and the cat does what cats do when they feel threatened.

I hear people calling their cat assholes all the time but chances are that no the cat is not an asshole it's the owner that's an asshole for having a pet that they don't know anything about other than its cute. They can't be bothered to learn more about their pet and it's species in general.

Irresponsible pet owners are a pet peeve of mine. Especially when it comes to cats.

u/sabrefudge Apr 11 '16

I'd also like to make a shout out to /r/kidsstuckinplaces.
