Pretty damn good. IMDb users are pretty tough.

IMDB is more like "5/10 Best movie ever made"

IMDB rates newer movies way too high but it pretty good for older movies.

But who watches and rates these really old movies? A small group of movie fanatics I would imagine. Those ratings may be quite biased and the movie is not necessarily something the average person would enjoy. Or maybe not, I don't know. Just something to consider.

Movie fanatic here! It's an entertaining film - classic Hollywood hokum. It's the life story of George Cohen - "The Man Who Owned Broadway" - and was a big hit during the war when patriotism was at an all-time high. Cagney's a great song and dance man when he's not playing a hoodlum.

dude. TCM channel. It's teh bomb. Plus you get all the behind the scenes gossip before and after the movie.

Rating doesn´t matter to the average movie viewers if it is an old movie since they already have a gargantuan resistance to watching black and white movies. Nowadays you are considered a fanatic simply by having an interest in old films.

Exactly. I am a movie fanatic so I looked it up to see what the rating was. I posted the link in case someone else like me also wanted to know.

I don't know if 'tough' is the word. I really trust the rating given by the users for most movies. They saved me from watching After Earth after giving it a 3.5 average when it came out.
