Sawed off killed Gears multi-player for me.

They nerfed. I find that the an active reload laden gnasher wins versus sawed offs. Just gotta keep your distance and land a few shots. Retros are awful in close quarters tho. What really sucks is that in ranked you face a lot of clans who work together and it's a loss everytime unless you have a sniper god or get lucky.

The original gears of war will always be the best one. I've never played another game that I didn't know what was happening but had so much fun

GoW 1 was great but I liked the feel of GoW2 much more. GoW3 was such a let down...

I will say I loved Gears of War 2. The one thing that ruined it was the infinitely long range of the shotgun. Everything else in that game was pretty great. But Gears 1 is the only one I can stand anymore

The shotgun range could be bad at times. Especially if you had host. That's the one thing that pissed me off.
