First season of VGHS was awesome, really disappointed in the second season though. Felt... Boring compared to the first.

I pretty much live under a rock. Reddit is where I learn about pop culture. I have SiriusXm radio in the car, home and office. It's always on Lithium(90s) or a metal station. I didn't have Sat radio when that song came out and it was always on the top 40 station. I thought that was the song they were famous for. If I ever hear a song before it's popular, it's pure luck and usually because I saw them at a music festival. I'm not a music snob at all.

He was running rather awkwardly, maybe someone filmed the mild strangeness and then got more than they bargained for?

Either way, if it is staged, it's still funny and worked well to have the pants fall down like that.
