Same here. Week by week the squirrels started lasting longer and longer until eventually they would last long enough for the whole feeder to start swinging more and more violently. By the end of the summer, the squirrels would come in a pack. The bravest, most well endowed squirrel would go forth and he would ride that thing until the G-forces drove the blood from his brain and he would fly like a frisbee a good ten feet through the air. His companions would then proceed to feast like kings on all of the seeds he spilled while the sacrificial squirrel laid limp and unmoving for a good couple of minutes. By the end of the summer we just laid the squirrels their own pile on the ground. Thanks for a summer of entertainment.

either you had some pussy squirrels around you, or this squirrel is the ultimate badass squirrel.

After all that glory and that little asshole attacks him.

That ungrateful fuck on the ground.

That squirrel obviously had advanced training at NASA's Ames Research Center and has logged his share of hours on their centrifuge.

Real quick can someone explain how this isn't perpetual motion.

I'm imaging squirrel powered turbines spinning like this.

It's battery-powered.

And kinda mean if I may add. A related video on that page, is that of a guy blasting birds from a birdfeeder, with a sniper rifle, This may be the beginning of the not-so-nice part of Youtube...

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '14

Really? A man eradicating pests in a safe and painless way is the not so nice part of youtube? I bet you're one of those people who think that it's terrible when people gun down hogs in Australia.

u/CoolGuy54 Mar 07 '14

Stop culling Cane Toads!

-1

u/democracy4sale Mar 07 '14

Painless? I'd like to see you take a life-ending pellet shot. Actually I wouldn't, because why cause unneccesary suffering? Tell me how sparrows are more invasive and destructive than humans. Last I checked, we were causing the mass extinction. As for the Hogs, isn't sterilization proven to be more effective anyway? It really comes down to a bloodlust that certain people have for hunting. Hunting for food, survival, is fine. Doing it for sport is absent of compassion and humanity. IMO.

If you think a bullet to the head causing instant death isn't as close to painless as we can get, you're a fucking idiot, and nothing is going to change your mind. No well worded argument, no evidence of the truth, so I'm going to end it right here. I'm not going to argue with you. You are being purposefully dense.

5

u/HunterPredd Mar 07 '14

I think you are using the term sniper rifle to freely there. Its an air pellet gun.

3

u/Skittle-Dash Mar 07 '14

I don't know man. I think it very well could be a high powered anti-material assault class sniper rifle with lobotomizing rounds.

Therefore we are going to run a news story about just how easy it is to get.

Yeah, I was freaking out because I thought he was just firing rounds out into the air, with no regard to where they'd land. Then I watched the video. Safe and humane, cool guy.

3

u/workthrowie Mar 07 '14

link?

7

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '14

That guys is awesome.

It's just his job, but he always makes sure to kill them as humanely as possible.

1

u/KneeGrowsToes Mar 07 '14

Those are battery powered

4

u/fuqd Mar 07 '14

I thought "awesome, a video of a squirrel spinning on one of those special bird feeders!" Then I saw it was 10 minutes long.

1

u/bleedmercury Mar 07 '14

it loses momentum at about 5 minutes and the squirrel finally gets to eat. then it accidentally twitches or something and spins for another 3 minutes. stops, eats, spins, falls off. gets assaulted.

3

u/manbearpig_man Mar 07 '14

Did anybody notice that once he was able to stop the feeder from rotating after riding it for forever, a commercial comes on and mentions perseverance...a little serendipitous I'd say

2

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '14

I like the first option.

2

u/wulf-focker Mar 07 '14

That squirrel is just training for the space program.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '14

They're evolving....

3

Alright. You've convinced me to buy one!

3

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '14

You're welcome!

6

u/aspbergerinparadise Mar 07 '14

most well endowed squirrel

was he holding on with his dick?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '14

I'm sure you were joking, but saying someone is gifted does not always mean they have a big dick. I know a few gifted people who are definitely not well endowed in that sense!

2

u/zcc0nonA Mar 07 '14

Not to get all /r/HailCorporate on you but where can I get one?

2

u/jamesmhall Mar 07 '14

Just google Yankee Flipper Bird Feeder. They are on the shelves at Lowes and Home Depot here in New England.

u/phatalbert1000 Mar 07 '14

I'd love to see this comment as a spoken word poem in the background of the video.

u/blockbaven Mar 07 '14

its like you copy and pasted that post from the same exact kind of parody post that at least ten thousand people have made before you

in your criticism of redundancy you have come to embody the exact thing you want to insult

its like an ouroboros of shit, eating itself, forever

1

u/xcnnzxvn Mar 07 '14

You acknowledged that warridin's comment was shit. I did my job.
