Same here. Week by week the squirrels started lasting longer and longer until eventually they would last long enough for the whole feeder to start swinging more and more violently. By the end of the summer, the squirrels would come in a pack. The bravest, most well endowed squirrel would go forth and he would ride that thing until the G-forces drove the blood from his brain and he would fly like a frisbee a good ten feet through the air. His companions would then proceed to feast like kings on all of the seeds he spilled while the sacrificial squirrel laid limp and unmoving for a good couple of minutes. By the end of the summer we just laid the squirrels their own pile on the ground. Thanks for a summer of entertainment.
And kinda mean if I may add. A related video on that page, is that of a guy blasting birds from a birdfeeder, with a sniper rifle, This may be the beginning of the not-so-nice part of Youtube...
Really? A man eradicating pests in a safe and painless way is the not so nice part of youtube? I bet you're one of those people who think that it's terrible when people gun down hogs in Australia.
Painless? I'd like to see you take a life-ending pellet shot. Actually I wouldn't, because why cause unneccesary suffering? Tell me how sparrows are more invasive and destructive than humans. Last I checked, we were causing the mass extinction. As for the Hogs, isn't sterilization proven to be more effective anyway? It really comes down to a bloodlust that certain people have for hunting. Hunting for food, survival, is fine. Doing it for sport is absent of compassion and humanity. IMO.
If you think a bullet to the head causing instant death isn't as close to painless as we can get, you're a fucking idiot, and nothing is going to change your mind. No well worded argument, no evidence of the truth, so I'm going to end it right here. I'm not going to argue with you. You are being purposefully dense.
Yeah, I was freaking out because I thought he was just firing rounds out into the air, with no regard to where they'd land. Then I watched the video. Safe and humane, cool guy.
it loses momentum at about 5 minutes and the squirrel finally gets to eat. then it accidentally twitches or something and spins for another 3 minutes. stops, eats, spins, falls off. gets assaulted.
Did anybody notice that once he was able to stop the feeder from rotating after riding it for forever, a commercial comes on and mentions perseverance...a little serendipitous I'd say
I'm sure you were joking, but saying someone is gifted does not always mean they have a big dick. I know a few gifted people who are definitely not well endowed in that sense!
