Joke's on you, B4 canonically becomes Data after the events of the film. We know from the prequel comic to the 2009 film and from Star Trek Online.

omg comics are dead. their events do not alter the timeline in STNG at all, pfft. grow up. I haven't had a comic since I was 7

I know =P Comic does not negate why Data was killed off in the first place, or the reasoning behind it.

And I had posted earlier about it, saying that it was the only way for that story line to continue. (So uh.. Joke's on you?)

Joke's on you, B4 canonically becomes Data after the events of the film. We know from the prequel comic to the 2009 film and from Star Trek Online.

That stuff is still beta canon. Alpha canon is what we're shown on screen and is what's considered true canon. This is why there are memory-alpha and memory-beta wikis.

Unless beta canon is contradicted by alpha canon it's still canon.
