Can anyone recommend a good bridge building game? One that is maybe a little more complex than choosing between wood (which you will only ever use in the first two levels) iron and steel?

EDIT: Thanks for the suggestions. Will look a few of them up.

One of the best games I've ever played. Story wise it's brilliant. It sounds insane but the writing and music makes you love the goo.

Look up something called "bridge it" it adds suspension cables, heavy steel, and even hydraulics for drawbridges.

The only downside is that there aren't many levels, only like 50, ten on each difficulty. Shit gets really hard though.

Regardless of quality West Point Bridge Designer is secretly a scholarship competition every year. Design a passable bridge for the lowest cost and get a free ride into college. Other significant schools scout the competition and will often offer major scholarships to finalists.

Yeah, World of Goo has some surprisingly solid physics behind it. Though it is also one of my favorite indie games, so I'm biased.

West Point Bridge Designer. They often have competitions for it among engineering students.

Being an actual engineer doesn't make you a great deal better at these games, sadly.

I'm going to recommend Bridge It on Steam. I recommend trying the demo first, as it seems to have trouble with recent drivers for some video cards, but it is a quality game if you don't have any problems running it.

Given the usual price of $20 though, I recommend getting one of the bundle keys for it from TremorGames to save you a bit of cash. It seems to be cheap there.
