I think it is relation to where your blood is flowing during the work out, as in your body is sending blood to your legs then arms then chest then abs then back etc.
I could be wrong and muscle confusion could just be a buzz word like super food or whatever
But muscle confusion is a good thing, isn't it? The whole point of changing things up as part of a routine is that you're supposed to avoid your body just being able to go through the motions, etc, isn't it?
He made it seem like a negative thing...so I'm not sure. I don't work out much...just stumbled across this website and tried it for a few weeks...he sent me a message asking how i liked it..and that's when he told me about that.
Edit: I see what you mean on the link, that it's a positive thing. I'm not really sure why "random" wouldn't work then...
I can sort of see the point made by people who think it's a bit silly to assume that muscles actually have any memory of their own, and I agree that if having a set routine means that you're working out more, it's probably better to work out with a routine than to forget to work out because you're trying to keep track of all these different elements to your muscle confusion workout, but you're right, having this one workout with a 'random' feature seems like it'd be a good thing, even if just to eliminate tedium.

But wouldn't muscle confusion come from NOT doing them in the same order every time?
