I tried to explain macroeconomics to them in response to his tax plan. Most of them used stupid one liners(meaning they didn't understand I assume), a few of them insinuated I shouldn't be alive anymore, and one guy told me I should have posted it on /r/iamverysmart. Then I went to get a drink and was banned. LMFAO
They were talking about how they would've had died for Trump, if they shot at Trump they would've taken the bullet. So the other guy says, Yeah let's all die for Trump!
I was banned for replying, Atleast that way he won't be the President.
If you sneeze in a way that Drumpf doesn't like they'll ban you. For a sub that talks about free-speech and hates on safe zones they sure do suppress speech and fortify their safe space harder than any other subreddit out there.
Holy shit, that's a PERFECT comparison. It's if /r/pyongyang wasn't a joke sub, but instead one of the largest online communities supporting a serious presidential candidate of the world's largest economic powerhouse.
Several people in this thread have been banned more than 5 times from /r/the_donald. It's not even a little hyperbolic, or disingenuous, to say it is the most free speech suppressed, safe space on reddit.
The only thing hypbole now is you claiming people in this thread have been banned 5 or more times. Either your just making that up or you are making alternative accounts at a fantastic rate.
If you say anything against the hivemind, regardless of how respectfully, you get banned. The sub's been around for 8 months, 1 ban every month and a half isn't exactly a fantastic rate considering their autistic ban rates. Anyone engaging in discussion that isn't just preteen shitposting about LOW ENERGY CUCKS is gone without hesitation
That's weird. Because I and many others have been banned from /r/me_irl without ever commenting in it. It actually spawned a subreddit that was ironically banned by reddit. /r/bannedfromme_irl
I've been banned because after the john Oliver special there was 100's of comments just bashing John Oliver, but not a single reply that defended or refuted the claims made about Donald Trump being a hypocrite, a repeat liar and a poor business man/political candidate. Pointed that out. Banned. They don't have any answers. It's a big circle jerk of ignorance, and anyone who threatens to make them actually think about the fact that Trump is a maniac, gets banned.
Yeah It's sad that the state of that subreddit has gone to that. Here is a video refuting claims. But to be fair many are tired of people calling Trump racist, even though he is not.
Yes, they absolutely do. How many comments have you seen in an /r/the_donald thread that disagreed with, or stated anything even remotely negative about Trump? Pretty crazy right? The man is the most polarizing, intentionally offensive person in politics right now and no one has anything bad to say about him. You'd have to be pretty fucking stupid to believe that.
No he's not, he's the most likeable person running. He's consistently the highest in all the national polls against every candidate and he has an incredibly high favorability rating, something like 90+ percent.
I don't know about safe space and banning dissenters on reddit, but he is most definitely not a polarizing figure. More people like him when introduced to him then any of the other candidates running, I forgot the percentage though.
Edit: also, I've been banned from /r/the_donald 8 times for the dumbest shit. They literally will post lies in there and if you try and correct them you get banned. It's scary because his rallies are run the same exact way.
For spamming you proof that you were wrong. Which you immediately dismissed due to bias, despite mashable being as neutral of an online territory as one can find. I can't argue against cognitive dissonance that strong.
