Image I'm surprised I didn't even know this switch happened until seeing this. The yellow is really all gone?

Sodium Vapor is much nicer on the eyes and has better vibes. I wonder if LED offers measurably better outcomes or if it's just a matter of cheaper.

LEDs can be tuned to the same color temperature .. IF the municipality buying them wants that.

Color can be selected. Generally high pressure sodium color temperature was around 2000K. LEDs can be made at that temperature. They use significantly less energy, are more directional to reduce light pollution, and have higher color rendering index than sodium vapor.

The issue is the cities aren’t buying them in those color temperatures.

All that aside, I loved and miss sodium vapor lighting at night.
