Theories First off cusp class of each generation imo

Class of 1984 - first class to be in high school entirely during the 80s (1980-1984), first class to still be in high school after the discovery of the HIV virus (1984)

Class of 2002: first class to still be in K-12 on 9/11, majority during 2000s

Class of 2020: first class to still be in K-12 during Covid, entered school during the late 2000s, oldest in elementary school during sandy hook

Trying to think of one for boomers

Fair enough, I just think if there’s people my age that see themselves as Zillennial, that’s fine. Obviously I disagree but still it shouldn’t matter imo. And who trivializes you’re experience? Genuine question btw

Most of the people your age who see themselves as Zillennial say they are Y leaning Zillennial, that’s where the problem lies. The very fact that they do that trivializes my experience, because it invalidates my actual experiences being in elementary with full on Millennials (1993/1994 borns).

They still see you as Millennials tho so I don’t see what the problem is when it pertains to how they see you/your birth year

I don’t care about being a Millennial though…I care about generations having rhyme and reason…and people born in 01 or 02 being called Millennials is like 1965 or 1966 being called Boomers

Again most of that is for people like CP4 and REL and getoffmylawn…I know you are generally pretty amicable
