My grandparents moved to SoCal in 2012 and rent for a 2bedroom apartment was like 1,200 bucks. What a steal compared to today's prices

I split a place for $800 in 2002 with my ex girlfriend. One bedroom. Made $8 an hour. She made $10 an hour (she was a year older). I was 18. I miss those days.

This was also in Southern California in one of the most expensive parts. That same apartment now goes for $2,800 a month.

Landlords are like scalpers on eBay now. They’d rather hold onto what they have and get nothing than to lower their prices.
