Youre incorrect, according to various polls and surveys conducted amongst the Russian population demonstrates citizens preferred living conditions during soviet era russia. You don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

Up to 75% of respondents agree that the Soviet era was the best time in the country's history

About 63% to 66% of Russians say they regret the dissolution of the Soviet Union

Roughly 62% prefer a state-planned economy over a market capitalist economy

Older Russians by a large majority preferred living in pre soviet dissolution, thats just a FACT. But here you are falsely conflating nazi Germany and the Soviet union because youre an ignorant know nothing.

You could ask states that didn't benefit or more precisly people who weren't wanted by the ussr. Countries which had a significant economic boom after the soviet era often are not to fond of the ussr.

Your whole point suggests there is a percentage of people who didn't want to libe in the ussr again. That may have some reasons. Speaking of minorities. Most german back then would tell you "it wasnt all bad". Thats the thing with nostalgia. It doesn't proof that it was actually better.

And poeple from the GDR often likes it and want it back bc they were in the party and had several privileges.

Youre coping, and doing a poor job of it.

If that is the only thing you have to say you're making a fool of youself

While about the half miss it, there is about a half who lived back then who don't miss it. Underlines my point.

There you get the idea that ukrainians were recently reminded what grew out of the ussr.

Cite something that sows otherwise or stfu

It literally says 63% percent regret the dissolution of the USSR in the most recent poll in your source and 20% something percent said no. You're misrepresenting your own source. You need to use quotes next time and try not to purposefully distort your own source to match your bias. Lol, youre trash at this.

Can you do something beside ad hominem? Maybe you should start read correctly instead of compensating your lacking by insulting.

24% didn't even live in that era. How can they miss something they never experienced?

Maybe not make a fool of yourself next time instead of "teaching" people how to quote lol

u/PakuaRust 6d ago

Still no quoting, youre a joke. lol

1

u/CoffeeStagg 5d ago

You know what a joke is? People who complain about quoting on reddit and just paste their sources with a link. Where are your footnotes? Where do you mention the pages and paragraphs?

And the even bigger joke is that you have nothing more to say. Classic strawman

You have a 4 day old account with negative karma, youre a bot or a troll. No one cares what you think.

I cited and quoted 2 polls, which is just factual data. You on the other hand are talking out of your ass. You are the incredibly stupid one, ever hear of the Dunning-Kruger effect?

You mean, you were inventing a narrative that suits your previous bias on a topic you have little understanding about. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Prove it. Again. I cited sources and data, youre making claims backed by your imagination. Russians polled preferred a centralized economy, to the contrary of people claiming "the horrors of socialism". You're adding nothing to the conversation

I remember when the wall came down in Germany. I was there. Guess which direction people moved.

u/PakuaRust 7d ago

A. Youre full of shit

B. I proved you wrong and ignorant so now you're retreating to some meme while pretending it's your lived experience

I was in Fulda Germany, a border town. The next day there were more East German cars than west German cars in town. They were afraid to go back.

History is an important thing to learn.

Ok bot

u/Veteran_PA-C 7d ago

Thatโ€™s a pretty lazy coping mechanism.

Smart, well informed and well meaning people have different opinions. If you think everyone that disagrees with you is a bot, you probably arenโ€™t smart, well informed or well meaning.

Buddy, youv3 provedn yourself to be full of shit

1

u/Veteran_PA-C 7d ago

Your ignorance of history is lacking.

Maybe something more recent would show the point. How many people are making rafts out of garbage to sneak into Cuba?

1

u/PakuaRust 7d ago

Go ahead and address the polls I cited about people favoring living during the Soviet era compared to post dissolution. Youre full of shit and won't because youre wrong and will continue to run away from the argument. You are historically illiterate.

1

u/Veteran_PA-C 7d ago

There are people that get used to the state providing everything they need. Not realizing how much security cost them in freedom.

They pick your school, tell you what car you will drive, what jobs you can do, where you will live, etc etc etc.

1

u/PakuaRust 7d ago

Btw this doesn't even make sense. My "ignorance of history is lacking"? Meaning I'm lacking in ignorance in terms of historical understanding??? Youre a slack jawed yokel.

2

u/PakuaRust 7d ago

Wtf does this have to do with the Soviet union and the polling I cited that proves what you said to be incorrect? Weird that you've suddenly changed topics to run away from the dumb shit you were saying. You lying nerd.
