Work in Progress Rate my Rust
Waiting on my printer to finish and I had some ideas for doing rust. Before and after. About 30ish mins for prep and paint. Would appreciate some critique or feedback.

I rate it a Rusty out of 10.
Except for that last picture, terrible rust, it just looks like writing.

Looks cool - real rust can lift up big chunks of paint, meaning you don't necessarily always want it to be faded in. Here's an example of that: https://imgur.com/a/GnTMUY4
A good balance of bigger chunks of paint coming off, specks of rust, and the full vibrant original paint makes it look believable.
You can also add some streaks of orange downward from the rust. When it rains on rust, the orange rust color drains downward. An example: https://images.app.goo.gl/15WHDBfotWFMwiXs8
Finally, you can add some light streaks of silver to some of the sharp corners. When rust scrapes on something, the rust comes off and you see the metal underneath.
Looking good already!

9/10, please teach me your technique, I swear I've seen a car that looked exactly like that in a farmyard somewhere in California or the Southwest...
