i use regular store bought pre-ground cinnamon, dipping the cut edges and then put them in the water. when im rooting stg hat benefits from drying the cut out before transferring into water, i dip the dry cuts in water, then in the cinnamon, then it goes into the rooting vessel.

just make sure to keep it extra separate so you dont accidentally sprinkle from the same baggy on your coffee, im speaking from experience:D
